Although certainly not the only one in its class, which also comprises the Ferrari Purosangue, Aston Martin DBX 707, and Bentley Bentayga Speed, the Lamborghini Urus is perhaps the best-known super crossover. The model in 2018 as the brand's third product after the V10-powered Huracan and V12-powered Aventador (which was replaced by the electrified Revuelto), and it is a sales hit.
Since its unveiling, the Urus has pretty much doubled Lamborghini's worldwide sales. It is their most successful vehicle currently on sale and builds on the legacy of the LM002. But while its forefather was a true off-roader, the Urus is a crossover that shares its platform with the Volkswagen Touareg and every other similarly-sized high-rider made under the VW Group's roof.

Four years after it first came out, it received its mid-cycle refresh. The pre-facelifted iteration offered a single version of the Urus, but now there are two on sale. The lesser model adds the S suffix, and the upper spec the Performante. It is worth mentioning that a third variant is currently in the making and will join the lineup in 2024. We're talking about the Urus PHEV (name unconfirmed), with its partially electrified powertrain.

With the Performante being a more track-focused proposal, the Urus S is considered the direct successor to the original one. Introduced one year ago, it sports different bumpers, a new vented hood made of carbon fiber, a twin-pipe exhaust system, and new wheels. The cockpit can be specified in Sportivo or Sophisticated, with both being bi-color options. Pricing in Europe starts at €195,538, equaling $209,140, though for the pictured copy, you will have to fork out much more than that.

We're clearly dealing with a tuned example, and in this case, it came from Mansory. The controversial tuner kept the front bumper, albeit giving it multiple add-ons. It has whiskers, an apron with side blades, and new vent trim. Additional vents can be seen on the front fenders, and the new hood was made of carbon fiber, like the rest of the aftermarket bits and pieces. It has new side skirts and a six-fin rear diffuser with three exhaust tips incorporated in the middle.

The tailgate is decorated by a pair of larger spoilers, and we can see additional add-ons on the rear bumper. Since the Lamborghini logos are apparently too mainstream, Mansory decided to replace them with their own emblems. Thus, the nose and space between the taillights bear the tuner's signature, and so do the front fenders. A bit larger than the stock ones, the 24-inch wheels are new and feature a black and yellow finish to complement the similarly looking exterior of the tuned super crossover.

At first glance, the cockpit appears untouched by the Mansory spirit. But we can tell that they left their mark on the steering wheel, pedals, and floor mats, and they also gave it additional carbon fiber trim. The rest of the cabin has black leather upholstery with yellow contrast stitching, and the Sant'Agata Bolognese car firm's logos still bedeck the headrests and steering wheel. The vendor also chose to highlight other aspects, like the sunroof, ambient lighting, and the three main screens, including the one for the HVAC controls.

Rather strangely for a Venatus, aka Mansory's tuned Lamborghini Urus, this one does not seem to boast additional power. The Hollmann listing available here reveals that the engine still produces a devilish 666 ps (657 hp/490 kW). The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 is good for 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque, and the stock model takes 3.5 seconds from 0 to 100 kph (0 to 62 mph), or one-tenth quicker than its predecessor. Flat-out, it can do 305 kph (190 mph), and Lambo says it will completely stop from 100 kph (62 mph) in 33.7 meters or 110 feet and seven inches.

The ad claims this Urus S only has the delivery miles under its belt, and the aftermarket upgrades mentioned above make it significantly more expensive. In fact, the vendor is willing to let it go in exchange for €648,550, including tax, or almost $694,000 at the current exchange rates. Mind you, that is high-end Rolls-Royce Cullinan money right there, as this tuned Urus S costs the equivalent of three brand-new copies with no mods whatsoever. Its rival from Ferrari, the V12-powered Purosangue, starts at almost $400,000 in the United States, and the Aston Martin DBX 707 is half the price of the Prancing Horse.

We cannot help but wonder who on earth would pay the ridiculous sum for this ridiculous-looking Lamborghini Urus S when they could get no fewer than three brand-new examples for the same amount. But that doesn't mean it won't sell for the asking price, as Mansory has numerous fans all over the world, including a good amount of one-percenters. Would you buy this Lambo for nearly $700k?
