Rezvani trolled Tesla last month. "That's not bullet-proof. That's bullet-tough," they said about the Cybertruck. The EV seems ready for just about anything out there: road, track, and off-road. However, if the apocalypse is inching closer, the Rezvani Vengeance is one of the vehicles that can survive it.
The Rezvani Vengeance is bullet-proof, bomb-proof, thief-proof, electric shocking, and smoke-screening. That is how the manufacturer advertises it. So, if you suspect that you are going to be shot at, blown up, kidnapped, or murdered, then you should buy a Rezvani. If you just want to have your share of fun and get people staring, all at high speed and with instant torque, then the Cybertruck will do the job.

The Vengeance has been flexing its muscles since 2021, so it's got a two-year lead ahead of the Cybertruck, which was first delivered on November 30, 2024. However, the two of them are lightyears away. Not that any of them is better, but because they are so different. What they have in common is their ability to turn heads and wow crowds.

The Rezvani Vengeance is built around the chassis of a Cadillac Escalade, which has been completely reengineered. Graphic artist Milan Ivanov was the one who ditched all the lines of the Escalade in the name of insanity on wheels. He specializes in cartoons and video games, so that explains pretty much of the Vengeance design.

The radical Goliath sports a master winch built into the front steel bumper, which enables it to tow as much as 12,000 pounds (5,443 kilograms). That is more than even the Cybertruck, which can pull up to 11,000 pounds (4,990 kilograms). That is a $4,500 option on the Rezvani.

It rides on 22-inch wheels with 35-inch military-grade tires. Bullet-proof doors and ballistic glass equip the monster. Rezvani offers Level 4 or Level 6 ballistic protection.

If someone with mean intensions gets close to the SUV of the president or whatever VIP is on board, the vehicle can deliver a 110-volt electric shock once they touch the door handles. If the villains are not impressed by electrocution, there is pepper spray in the side windows.

Because it is basically an Escalade, the Vengeance comes with up to eight seats. So, up to eight bullet-proof vests, up to eight helmets, and up to eight gas masks are available.

In case someone chases you, a built-in smoke machine can smoke them up and help you get rid of the enemies. This exact vehicle has been blown up before. But a few cosmetic repairs later, it is as good as new.

Meanwhile, Tesla did not build the Cybertruck for war or any zombie apocalypse for that matter, and Rezvani has been trolling it for quite some time. However, it looks as if it just escaped a sci-fi movie set where it battled starship troopers. It is all angles and edges, with the only curve being right above the front bumper, under the LED strip.

Elon Musk originally said that it was bullet-proof and then switched to bullet-tough, which should be the next best thing, right? Baseball bets, baseballs, arrows, bullets, kicks, punches, you name it, those doors and windows know how to take a beating. However, those doors can chop off carrots, not to mention fingers.

The Cybertruck came with some quality issues. For instance, panels don't exactly line up. AutoTrader's Rory Reid shows the gap between the supposedly closed door and the rear fender, giving the impression that the door is open.

The tonneau cover can withstand up to 300 pounds (136 kilograms) even as it slides back at the push of a button. The load bed holds a storage space with a drain plug underneath where you can even keep drinks cold. Just in case you need them for the end of the world, you know.

The cabin can seat up to five people, and everything goes down the Tesla-specific minimalist lane. There is a screen that allows the rear occupants to watch Netflix, YouTube, or Hulu or control the climate. An 18-inch display is for the driver.

Rory claims that the Cybertruck is also equipped with the best sound system he has ever had to deal with. A music generator lets you create your own tune.

The Rezvani Vengeance is powered by the 6.2-liter pushrod V8 engine, similar to the one that is sheltered under the hood of the Escalade. It pumps out 420 horsepower (426 metric horsepower) and 457 pound-feet (620 Newton meters) of torque in the apocalypse-ready SUV.

It may sound powerful and quick, but keep in mind that it is an armored vehicle that the V8 has to pull. The Vengeances weighs 6,200 pounds (2,812 kilograms) even without the ballistic protection, 7,010 pounds (3,180 kilograms) with B4 armor, or 8,200 pounds (3,719 kilograms) once it sports B6+ armor.

But a supercharger can make it feel as light as a feather at 620 horsepower. However, that is a $55,000 option. For $125,000 more, the V8 and the supercharger dial up to 810 horsepower. Simple mathematics shows that a single additional horsepower costs $320. And you pay extra for the siren, too.

Rolling at high speed gives the feeling that it might rollover. But hey, look at the bright side! It can still electrocute criminals coming too close when it is flipped on one side.

The Cybetruck trying to battle it is the dual-motor version with 593 horsepower and 525 pound-feet of torque. Those are enough for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 4.1 seconds. However, Tesla also rolls out the 845-horsepower Cyberbeast, which accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. Ridiculously quick and totally unnecessary.

The steer-by-wire is the... strangest-in-the-world that you get on board the Cybertruck. It does take some getting used to. It is, though, fun to drive, stable, and quick, despite tipping the scale at 6,603 pounds (2,995 kilograms). But the brakes aren't the most reliable in the world.

Rory Reid complains about visibility on board the Cybertruck. The massive front pillars obstruct it at junctions, the tonneau cover covers any chance of seeing anything out back, while the rearview digital mirror so tiny that you don't really see much in it.

The good think if apocalypse strikes is that the Cybertruck won't need petrol. Solar panels and a socket will do. The 123-kWh battery pack allows this version to drive as far as 340 miles (550 kilometers) on a single charge. Good luck charging your battery when you are chased by zombies!

So, which one of these titans are winning the clash for you? Keep in mind that the dual-motor Tesla Cybertruck starts at $79,990 and it is a $102,000 affair if you are dealing with the Foundation Series. Meanwhile, the Rezvani Vengeance starts at $285,000 without the armor, but a fully optioned vehicle hits $800,000.
