Rezvani Is Trolling Tesla: The Tank Is Bulletproof, the Cybertruck Is Just Bullet-Tough

Elon Musk has been advertising the Cybertruck as bulletproof since day one. Then, he kind of changed his mind and said that the glass was just rock-proof while the body was bullet-tough. And then he sent a Cybertruck full of bullet traces parading around California trying to prove… no one knows what. Now, Rezvani says that if you want a vehicle that is actually bulletproof, you need to get one of their models, and definitely not a Cybertruck.
You know Elon Musk. The things he says today might not be valid tomorrow. Specs, range, prices, production deadlines. We all know his credibility is below sea level and we got used to it.

Rezvani points out that the Cybertruck is not bulletproof-bulletproof, but semi-bulletproof. The body, which is made from stainless steel, can withstand small projectiles and even small 9-mm bullets from a handgun. But a video uploaded to the JerryRigEverything YouTube channel showed that the steel cannot protect occupants against weapons that had no problem putting holes into the body of the Cybertruck.

And that is what Rezvani Tank and Rezvani Vengeance can do. Both are bulletproof, sporting lightweight composite body armor, which is installed behind the exterior sheet metal, a setup that is rated up to B6 ballistic protection. This means that nothing from a .22 and a .357 Magnum to 7.62 machine gun fire and penetrator rounds can go through.

Furthermore, the ammunition will not be deflected by the sheet metal on a potentially dangerous trajectory but absorbed and caught. Meanwhile, the glass of the Rezvani models is bulletproof to the same standard as the body. Meanwhile, the Cybertruck is bragging about the rockproof windows.

Rezvani built its vehicles as fortresses on wheels. Both can be specced with a Military package. They both include the B6 ballistic protection, bulletproof vests and helmets for all occupants, underbody explosive protection, and a smoke screen system. Run-flat tires allow the vehicles to still drive even when all tires are pierced. Thermal night vision, reinforced suspension components, and electromagnetic pulse protection are also on the menu.

But all the battlefield-ready Rezvanis come with quite a price. The Tank Military Edition starts at $259,000, while the Tesla Cybertruck kicks off at $60,990. So we can understand if the bulletproofing is just halfway there.

Back in November, when Tesla's Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen re-did the 2019 window test, Elon Musk confirmed the "basically rock-proof" characteristic of the windows and said that the Cybertruck is "bullet-tough," whatever that is supposed to mean.

That stainless steel body is surely something that can hold up well upon impact. A recent crash that took place in Tampa, Florida, showed the Cybertruck involved had suffered minor damage after being t-boned by a Nissan Sentra. The Sentra, however, looked every inch a write-off.
