Ram Goes Nuts and Unleashes 5 New or Updated Pickup Trucks, Here's What Each Has to Offer

The release of the new models is considered by the company a true milestone in the evolution of its trucks, but most importantly for us it marks "the arrival of the most capable, most affordable off-road truck lineup in the industry." We'll see if that's the case after we take a closer look at all the five models.

The changes Ram prepared for us apply to both the light- and heavy-duty family of trucks. Three of the new releases have to do with the 1500, and the rest refer to the 2500. All are described as the "most off-road models Ram has offered."

2025 Ram 1500 RHO ($69,995)

The Ram lineup gains an interesting beast for the 2025 model year, a version of one of America's favorite pickup trucks that is supposed to offer more horsepower per dollar (or, to be fair, ask fewer dollars per horsepower) than any other off-road truck out there.

Ram will be selling the 1500 RHO for $69,995 and its 3.0-liter H/O SST Hurricane twin-turbo engine pumps out 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. Simple math would tell you that translates into $129.6 dollars per hp. You know, in case you ever considered such a thing when looking for a new truck.

Aside from the mighty engine under the hood Ram fitted the RHO with a hell of a suspension system comprising Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks, a five-link coil system, and the company's Active Terrain Dynamics suspension management system.

This particular truck offers 40 percent more rear-wheel travel than the rest of the 1500 lineup and a ground clearance of 11.8 inches. The overall ride height is two inches taller than what its siblings have to offer and it is made even more impressive by the use of 35-inch tires.

Ram already has the 1500 RHO listed for order, but the truck won't arrive in dealerships before the third quarter of the year. You should add the $1,995 destination charge to the price I already mentioned above.

2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X ($64,195)

Somewhat cheaper than the RHO, but in no way less impressive, is the Ram 1500 Rebel. That would be a new model in the lineup meant to celebrate "a decade of performance with the popular Rebel model." And the thing does so with the help of a special package called Rebel X.

The suite of extras hidden under this name includes the Rebel Level 2 Equipment Group that throws into the mix the Uconnect 5 system with its 14.5-inch touchscreen, a dual-pane sunroof, power tailgate, and a 19-speaker Harman Hardon premium sound system, among others.

The Ram 1500 Rebel X is available in a color that's exclusive to this model, Mojave Sand, a hue that's made even more impressive by the black elements fitted on the body, including the grille, the bumper with its skidplate, and the bezel on the headlamps.

Mechanically speaking the truck offers one inch more ride height, 33-inch tires wrapped around 17-inch tires, and Bilstein shocks. The aluminum sport hood lifts to reveal a 3.0-liter Hurricane Standard Output SST engine rated at 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, controlled by means of an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Ram 1500 Rebel X offers something no other truck in the company's lineup presently has, and that's the Rough Road Cruise Control feature. When engaged it gives the driver the power to set a cruise speed when going over uneven terrain and adjust suspensions to meet the demands of what lies ahead.

Ram is offering the Rebel and the X package only as a crew cab model with a five-foot, seven-inch bed at the back. The asking price for is is $64,195, naturally not including the $1,995 destination charge.

2025 Ram 1500 Warlock ($54,260)

Last but not least in the 1500 stable is the Warlock, a half-ton that's meant to pay tribute to the pickup trucks by the same name that made the rounds in the 1970s.

Visually speaking the model sets itself apart from the rest of the crowd through its 18-inch wheels that are painted black (backed by Bilstein shocks that help provide a one-inch lift), distinct exterior badges, and unique decals.

The truck hides under its hood a 3.0-liter Hurricane Standard Output SST engine that delivers 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, handled with the help of an eight-speed automatic transmission.

This version of the truck is the cheapest offered by Ram in this series, selling for just $54,260 (destination not included). Just like the Rebel X, it too can already be had right from this month.

2024 Ram 2500 Power Wagon ($68,470)

The heavy-duty Ram lineup did not cross into the 2025 model year, as both the models announced this week still wear the 2024 tag. And yet they still bring enough novelties to the table to at least be worth a closer look.

The Ram 2500 Power Wagon, for instance, makes so secret of the model it's meant to honor – the decades-old, and highly appreciated custom platform Power Wagon that began its life in the 1940s.

In its 2024 incarnation the model relies on a unique suspension system setup that pairs Bilstein shocks with modified control arms and spring rates to give the truck a two-inch lift. Because it's meant for hardcore use, the truck is also equipped with locking differentials and a 12,000-pound Warn winch.

The monster is powered by the mighty 6.4-liter HEMI engine, linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powerplant spins wheels shod in 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires.

Ram is asking $68,470 for the 2500 Power Wagon, kind of making it the entry-level of the heavy-duty lineup.

2024 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel ($68,965)

At the opposite end of the price range, at least as far as the new models are concerned, is the 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel. It is the only new truck announced by Ram this week to offer a choice between two engines: the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel (370 hp and 850 lb.-ft. of torque), or the 6.4-liter HEMI that comes as standard (410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque).

The Rebel shares a lot of styling cues with the Power Wagon, but setting it apart visually are the unique badging and the sportier hood. The truck rides on large 20-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch tires, and comes complete with a 12,000-pound Warn winch and a towing capacity of  16,870 pounds.

The truck can only be had as a crew cab with a six-foot, four-inch bed at the rear, and it can be had right now for prices that start at $68,965.
