November 7, 2023, might get down in Ram Trucks history as the day of reckoning for downsizing. The Stellantis division uncovered the 2025 Ram 1500 series with a fresh design, a tech-laden cabin, and a bundle of new powertrain options. However, the bad news is that the days of the Hemi V8 are numbered – and that means Ram will also retire the mighty TRX with its 702-hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8.
Starting from the bottom of the lineup, the 2025 Ram 1500 will still feature the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 eTorque, but it will be joined by the 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six along with the SST (straight-six turbo) H/O (high output) version. Later on, a 2025 Ram 1500 RHO version will join the family, while during the final quarter of next year, Ram will also unleash the 2025 Ram 1500 REV and the all-new, first-ever 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger.

It's interesting to note that Ram is already sharing all the juicy details about the regular Hurricane models - 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, while the high-output version is rated at 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. The new entry into the lineup will also be used for the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, which is going to reinforce "America's leading off-road and performance truck lineup."

But it won't be a TRX, for sure, although no one has seen it yet. Indeed, Ram has only shown the gas-powered Ram 1500 Tungsten (and other trims), as well as the 663 horsepower 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger, which is an EV model with a range-extender V6 engine. The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, on the other hand, is still shrouded in mystery, at least in the real world.

Across the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, on the other hand, the model is already unofficially presented by the good folks from the AutomagzPro channel on YouTube, who have some AI-assisted CGI thoughts about it. Their resident pixel master didn't linger much in showing their vision, too, which is kind of like a refreshed TRX sprinkled with AI inconsistency.

Well, we suspect that it won't take long before Ram takes the wraps off the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO because it needs to give TRX fans some arguments as to why they don't need to go out crying their heart out for the 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Frankly, it's a shame that Ram didn't set the RHO aside from the Hurricane H/O with at least a modest power increase. Anyway, it remains to be seen what happens next – probably Ford will start bragging all over North America about having the most powerful full-size pickup truck with the 700-hp F-150 Raptor R once Ram ends production of the 2024 TRX.
