In today's very crowded and extremely noisy social landscape, a sure way to stand out is by being a trendsetter. For celebrities, the latest in trendsetting right now is a Tesla Cybertruck.
The all-electric, admittedly indestructible, and occasionally buoyant workhorse isn't just Tesla's most daring and risky bet to date but also one of the most striking designs in the automotive industry. The Cybertruck is all sharp angles and harsh lines, with a body of high-quality 300-series stainless steel and the styling of an apocalypse-ready vehicle.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk and the brain behind the Cybertruck said once that the only thing tougher than a tank is a pickup truck of his imagination, and the physical representation of that is the Cybertruck. The e-truck is all these things and so much more – but it's also the hottest status symbol among showbiz A-listers.
Gone are the days when the hottest "get" a celebrity could show off online was a custom Rolls-Royce, a flashy Bentley, or a limited-edition Ferrari. These cars are still very much in demand, don't get us wrong, but they're not on the celebrity trend right now. The Cybertruck is, which makes for awesome advertising for deliberately advertising-shy Tesla.

Ciara has now joined the very exclusive club of celebrity Cybertruck owners. Since she and husband Russell Wilson, both worth a collective $190 million (give or take a few million), took delivery of the Founders Edition version of the e-truck, Ciara took to social media to show off.
In line with the old saying "pics or it never happened," she posted a single shot of herself by the massive ride alongside the caption "Cyber Monday," a not-so-subtle pun on the name of the e-truck and the first day of the week. This is a clear case of a celebrity using one of their rides as a photo prop, but Ciara never gets the kind of criticism for it as other celebs do.
It could be that she doesn't do it that often or that she always manages to get awesome, almost artsy-looking photos, but the reason isn't even relevant. Ciara seems a perfect match for her brand new Cybertruck, which somehow looks even more futuristic in the artificial light and the angle the photographer chose.
The Cybertruck was introduced in November 2019 and went through several delays before the first units went out to the first reservation holders in late 2023. Production is still limited right now, which partly contributed to it becoming such a status symbol.
Celebrities who have been confirmed as Cybertruck owners include Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian, auto collector Jay Leno, Jay Z, and probably Justin Bieber. We're not including the dozens of influencers and content creators who have already put the e-truck through its paces in all manners of destructive ways.
In terms of celebrity ownership, Ciara is in very fine company.
