The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37. It is super rare. It is super exclusive. It is super expensive. It is a collectors' darling. And now, guess what! It shows up on eBay. That is something we did not see coming this soon.
Yes, you read that right. This insane, high-end supercar that customers battled for four years ago, when Lamborghini unveiled it at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, is already for sale. It sounds like someone decided that it was not worth the wait, the money, the headache and decided to get rid of the car they paid at least $3.7 million for.

The Sian ticks so many firsts for Lamborgini. It was the first time the Italians built a hybrid. It was the first time Lamborghini was using 3D-printed parts. And it was the most potent production Lamborghini ever made. That hybrid powertrain that sets the Sian in motion develops a total of 808 horsepower (819 PS).

The adrenaline-infusing 6.5-liter V12, the same that powered the Aventador SVJ, is worth 774 horsepower (785 PS), while the electric motor adds 34 horsepower (34 PS). A seven-speed ISR automated manual, to which Lamborghini linked the 48-volt e-motor, delivers those resources to all four corners.

The Sant’Agata Bolognese carmaker chose supercapacitators for energy storage, as they provide three times the power of a conventional lithium-ion battery pack of the same weight.

'Sian' is 'lightning bolt' in the Bolognese dialect. It hints at the electrified powertrain as well as at the model's performance. Because this supercar flashes from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in just 2.8 seconds and hits a top speed of 355 kph (221 mph). The 'FKP 37' in the name is a reference to the initials of the late Austrian business magnate Ferdinand Karl Piech, Chairman of the executive board of Volkswagen Group, and his birth year, 1937. Piech was also the initiator of the $110 million transaction through which Audi purchased Lamborghini from Indonesian company Megatech in 1998.

Lamborghini only built 63 Sian coupes and 19 roadsters, with the latter version introduced in July 2020. The model was sold out long before it was even unveiled in Frankfurt. The first to be delivered in the United States was a car in black and orange, back in December 2020.

And one of those who hurried to pay the money to get one of the 63 Sian coupes in their garage is now selling it on eBay via a dealership based in Chesterfield, Missouri, specialized in selling luxury automobiles as well as supercars. Yet the Sian is by far the most expensive in their inventory, followed by a $550,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom and a half-a-million-dollar Cullinan Black Badge.

Inspired by the 2017 Lamborghini Terzo Millennia concept car, with design elements borrowed from the iconic Countach, the Sian sports an aggressive styling, a ton of carbon fiber, and infinite customization options offered via the Ad Personal program. So, there is virtually no chance to find two Sians alike in the world.

There are four red paint options in the program and five black options. But the one who bought this car chose the Rosso Scintilla and the Nero Cosmus color combo. It must have been a tough choice, right? The car rides on 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch at the rear with a contrasting finish in gold.

The color theme continues on board the car, where Lambo fitted heated seats in carbon fiber and Alcantara. The steering wheel with the 12 o’clock mark in red sports the same materials combination. The leather upholstery in this 2020 Sian, just like in any other, was made by Poltrona Frau, an Italian furniture company based in Tolentino. A text in the carbon fiber center console confirms that this car is '1 of 63.'

Three driving modes are available in the Sian: Strada, Sport, and Corsa, with the latter two making the car stiffer, more responsive, more precise, while the former elevates the ride height to make it drivable on public roads where the tarmac is not perfect.

The car is still under factory warranty and comes with a clean Carfax report. The odometer reads just 533 miles (858 kilometers) covered in four years. It is not exactly a daily driver, and any buyer would know that adding mile after mile on the odometer of such an exclusive car would end up impacting the resale price. The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, recently listed on eBay, goes for $3,599,950, which makes it the second most expensive car on the platform right now, right behind a 1960 Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato.

The price does not include sales taxes, registration, and government fees. The future owner will also have to pay the electronic filing fee of $249 and the pre-delivery service charge of $999. But well, that is pocket change for whoever decides to pay $3.6 million on this Sian. And it comes cheaper than it was four years ago, despite the fact that, for such cars, the value usually goes higher in time.
