When you're in a different league from everybody else, you don't just match your shoes to your outfit or even throw a piece of diamond jewelry or two for that perfect vibe you're going for. You get a custom ride to match you.
Reality star, businesswoman, and fashion icon Kim Kardashian is no stranger to matching her cars to her outfits or particular styling on particular occasions. She's done it countless times, with the most memorable instances being when she got a neon green Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4 Squared because her favorite wig at the time was in the same shade or when she wrapped a Lamborghini Urus in the boucle fabric from her Skims line, both inside and out.

Her appearance at the new Swarovski launch this week, at the flagship store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, NYC, was a truly special occasion. Her Skims underwear brand partnered with the Austrian jeweler to create a new line of premium outfits and underwear studded with a gazillion crystals in what is meant to be a "celebration of strong, independent women."

The Skims brand is so successful that it turned Kim into a billionaire, so when Swarovski creative director Giovanna Engelbert reached out for a collaboration, Kim knew this was her foot in the door of the premium market. Her appearance at the event was on par with the importance of the event itself, in a custom two-piece set by Swarovski and a car that the brand had customized for her.

The vehicle was a standard New York City taxi wrapped in chrome and bedazzled with crystals matching those on Kim's halterneck chain top and skirt. It looked like an older-gen Lincoln Town Car, one of the last full-size American luxury cars and, because of it, a perfect fit for the occasion.

The entire body of the car was covered in crystals, but gems also sparked on the wheels and on a new "S" emblem that replaced the Lincoln one on the cascade grill. The "S" is the same one that replaces the iconic Swarovski swan on the new Skims products. A "Kim K" vanity plate was added, and the traditional taxi top sign was replaced with a custom one.

The best part about the custom ride was the way it sparkled as photographers' flashes went off, ensuring a memorable entrance.

As Kim revealed in a story on her social media, Swarovski actually commissioned three different cars for the launch, one of herself and two for her friends. From the brief video she shared, it's clear that hers was the most elaborate and that the other two only had crystals on the outer edges and the wheel covers.

We reached out to Swarovski for more details on the customized rides to see if they had other modifications, but chances are this was a mere cosmetic job that was reverted right after the event. Still, if you compare this crystal car to other famous pumpkin-transforming rides, it's totally more glam. This is a promotional vehicle done perfect!
