Day Of The Dead Mazda Miata Wrap Looks Dead Serious

As it was confirmed during the time we spent with the ND Mazda Miata, this is far from a machine that needs special colors to stand out. Of course, this doesn't mean the aftermarket realm will leave the MX-5 in standard trim and we are now here to bring you the freshest example of that.

We're talking about a current-generation Miata that has received the kind of wrap you simply can't miss. The second skin job we have here follows the Day Of The Dead theme, so the design might just split a few opinions.

Going by the Spanish name of Dia de Muertos, this is a Mexican holiday. We're talking about a multi-day event that sees families and friends getting together to remember those who are no longer among us.

Some of you might be familiar with the theme after watching Coco, the 2017 Disney Pixar animation built around this. We've seen the movide and can confirm that it makes for a pleasant watch, from the visual candy to the tale behind it.

Returning to the MX-5 we have here; there's also an explanation for the background of the images portraying the car - the sportscar had attended a Mazda Takeover event.

The design of the wrap comes from Scott Kepple, a digital artist whose work we've featured on multiple occasions.

While we're at it, we'll bring you three different examples of the pixel wielder's wraps. The first involves a Porsche Cayman GT4 that has earned its racing battle scars the quick way.

Then there this McLaren 675LT, which also features a racecar look by using a weathered wrap (with the arrival of the 720S and the Senna, the 675LT doesn't get as much attention these days, so owners are turning to wraps).

Oh, and let's not forget this sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro SS, which clearly stands out among other muscle cars.
