2021 SEAT Ibiza and Arona UK Pricing Announced, and They’re Not Cheap

2021 SEAT Ibiza

Offered in the SE, SE Technology, FR, FR Sport, XCellence, and XCellence Lux trim levels, the 2021 SEAT Ibiza has a recommended retail price of £16,945 ($23,465). The 15-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, metallic paint, 8.25-inch infotainment system, smartphone integration, leather-wrapped steering wheel, chrome detailing, air-con, and others are standard.

The Ibiza SE Technology brings 16-inch alloys, bigger 9.2-inch infotainment, SEAT Connect with remote access, and SD card map updates for one year. The FR adds 17-inch wheels, rear privacy windows, full LED automatic headlights and LED taillights, electrically adjustable and folding side mirrors, sportier exterior trim, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and front sports seats in Navy and Black cloth upholstery.

Choosing the FR Sport variant of the 2021 Ibiza will get you 18-inch wheels, comfort front seats in Black microsuede, and digital instrument cluster. The XCellence rides on 17-inch alloys in Nuclear Grey, gets specific exterior styling, rear parking sensors, comfort suspension, burgundy accents in the cabin, armrest between the front seats, and keyless entry & go.

The XCellence Lux range-topper features the SEAT Drive Profiles and ECO function (not with the 1.0 MPI engine), reversing camera, parking sensors at both ends, adaptive cruise control, digital cockpit, high beam assist, and dynamic road sign assist.

The powertrain family comprises of the 1.0-liter TSI gasoline units, with 95 PS (94 HP / 70 kW), and 110 PS (108 HP / 81 kW). The former is available across all grades, whereas the latter, be it with the manual or DSG automatic gearbox, is reserved for the FR specs and above. Details surrounding the 1.0-liter MPI will be announced later this year, the Spanish carmaker says.

2021 SEAT Arona

The 2021 SEAT Arona has joined its hatchback sibling in the brand’s UK lineup. It has a recommended retail price of £19,260 ($26,670) for the base SE, which is followed by the SE Technology, FR, FR Sport, XPerience, and XPerience Lux flavors.

Sitting on 17-inch alloy wheels, and featuring a contrasting roof and body-colored side mirror caps (electric adjustment), the base model gets front fog lamps, rear spoiler, hidden exhaust pipe, LED automatic headlamps, metallic paint, 8.2-inch touchscreen display, smartphone integration, SEAT Connect, chrome accents, leather-wrapped gear knob and handbrake lever, and flat-bottomed steering wheel. The A/C, auto-dimming rearview mirror, electric windows for all doors, and a few other gizmos are included too.

On top of these, the Arona SE Technology gets the bigger 9.2-inch infotainment, enhanced SEAT Connect, and rear parking sensors. The FR features different 17-inch alloys, full LED headlights and taillights, chrome roof rails and window surrounds, ambient lighting, illuminated air vents, black headliner, dual-zone A/C, etc.

SEAT has equipped the Arona FR Sport with 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, microsuede upholstery, and digital cockpit. The Xperience comes with 17-inch alloys, Storage Pack, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and keyless entry & go. The Xperience Lux has 17-inch wheels, front parking sensors, and reversing camera.

In the power department, you are looking at a 1.0-liter TSI gasoline unit, in different outputs, making 95 PS (94 HP / 70 kW), 110 PS (108 HP / 81 kW), and 150 PS (148 HP / 110 kW). The lesser engine can be equipped to the SE and SE Technology, the mid-range is available from the FR with a manual gearbox, or across the range with the DSG, and the most powerful variant is limited to the FR and FR Sport.
