The Blue Oval had quite a few busy days these past weeks in the 2021 Bronco field of duty, revealing the better-than-expected official technical specifications, a raft of accessories on a dedicated page, hinting at a possible electric version, and letting slip the fuel economy ratings. Meanwhile, the 2-Door and 4-Door casually assembled on a patch of grass to showcase the entire color spectrum.
Serenely looking out into the great unknown (well, at least somewhere off-camera), there’s a comprehensive lineup of no fewer than eleven 2-Door and 4-Door Broncos that were neatly arranged to present the 2021 model year paint jobs for everyone to see.
The shot comes courtesy of The Bronco Nation online community, which is well known for having access to cool perks due to its ties with the Blue Oval. On this occasion, they took the opportunity of this color range presentation to ask the social media users about possible new additions, which is only logical after all the rumors concerning the arrival of a new and much-requested hue for the 2022 model year.
As it turns out, it’s not just the Everglades Green that lacks from the spectrum, as users also indicated stuff like the quirky Plum, the warrior-like Battleship Gray, the adventurous Desert Tan, or the plain old matte black. Green was naturally high on the list, but so were a standard yellow, light blue, and even the traditional black.
By the way, we feel that Ford has sparked much of the controversy surrounding these colors by not bringing more of the original ‘66 colors into the line (they're probably reserved for the rumored Heritage editions). The Blue Oval played with the people's patience about the white top option, and was generally utterly slow in managing the first deliveries schedule.
It’s also pretty obvious there’s more room for paint combinations in the range just by taking a look at the first five 2-Door and 4-Doors—notice how four of them are simply various shades of gray? OK, it’s not 50 of them, but even so... a little more variation didn’t hurt anyone.
