Auto enthusiasts will say that there's nothing more exclusive than a Pagani hypercar, given their limited production number and painfully exorbitant prices. But Pagani would beg to differ: its upcoming branded residential building is bound to be even more exclusive, even if you didn't think that was possible.
Car-branded residential buildings are not a novelty. For years, we've seen brands from Aston Martin to Mercedes, Bugatti, Bentley, and Porsche get into premium real estate with help from developing partners and the direct involvement of their respective design teams. Each of these projects is more than just exclusive real estate, it goes without saying. They're a reflection of that automaker and an extension of its distinctive style and core values.
In many ways, a car-branded apartment or penthouse is the ultimate "get" for an auto enthusiast, more so than a home that's built around a passion for cars. A car-branded home might be the proverbial jewel in the crown of a passionate and well-off supporter and customer of that brand, given the brand's involvement in every step of the process.
Pagani is joining this very select group of automakers on the premium real estate market, but with the kind of offer you can't refuse – on the condition you're wealthy enough to call yourself a Pagani client or, at the very least, to afford the kind of offer they're making.
Pagani has joined forces with Miami-based developer Riviera Horizons for the first Pagani Residences project, which will go up in Miami's North Bay Village and comes with a completion date set for 2027. The official unveiling took place earlier this month (March 2024).
Pagany hypercars are the most exclusive and expensive cars you can get today, but this project is going for even more exclusivity. Whereas there are about 400 Pagani car owners in the world, there will be only 70 owners of a Pagani home because the Miami project is a boutique building – not only for the sake of exclusivity but on considerations of space and privacy.
The Pagani Residences building is going for several world or Miami firsts, including the first Pagani-branded and curated building in the world, the first hypercar-branded residence in Miami, and the first boutique automotive-branded building in Miami. Architecture firm Revuelta is handling the design.
The 28-level tower will offer 70 waterfront, all-corner residences with interiors by Pagani Arte, the Pagani design team, and fully custom layouts and finishes. Every one of these residences will be entirely custom and handcrafted, be it a two-bedroom apartment or one of the two penthouses up top.
Residences have between two and four bedrooms, and between 2,000 to 3,300+ square feet (186 to 307 square meters), with the list of amenities varying according to size and price. For example, apartments with smaller layouts get large private terraces, while the penthouses have private pools. Only four residences are located on each floor for privacy considerations.
On-site amenities range from 24-hour concierge service, valet parking, and porte cochere to private ensuite elevators, private boat slips and boardwalk, waterfront lobby, and storage for smaller watertoys. The ground floor will also host a pet spa, bicycle storage, private garages that will be offered for sale, and preferred parking.
Scattered across the building are various communal areas that aim to make ownership of one such apartment the complete package. Think of the Pagani Residences as an ultra-luxury resort type of building, where you have immediate and instant access to services and amenities, so you never have to leave the grounds if you don't want to.
For instance, the eighth floor will hold a private lounge, with a media room and a library. A state-of-the-art wellness area will be located on level 27, including a fitness center, Pilates and yoga studios, a center for advanced cardio training, private treatment rooms, sauna and steam rooms, and something described as a "restorative wellness lounge."
Level 28 will hold a rooftop pool and sky lounge, with jacuzzi, cabanas with cold plunges, summer kitchens, and bars. In short, just the place to get away from the daily rut, short of going on a vacation.
"Pagani Residences represent an exciting blend of Pagani's bespoke design approach with the finest materials, and the vibrant allure of Miami's beauty and dynamic energy," Horacio Pagani, founder and CEO of Pagani Automobili, says of the project. "This innovative fusion embodies the distinctive essence that defines Pagani. Our aspiration is for residence owners to evoke the same exhilaration and excitement that our auto enthusiasts and owners experience every time they get behind the wheel of their Pagani Hypercar."
And here's one more thing the two have in common aside from the illustrious Pagani name. A home in the upcoming Pagani Residences tower starts at $2.4 million before customization, which is about the same kind of money you'd need to have saved up to get a newer Pagani hypercar.
