On July 4, the Goodwood Festival of Speed opens its doors in West Sussex for the 2019 edition, promising to be one of the most spectacular yet. The Michelin Supercar Paddock, a presence at the event for quite some time, also promises the most spectacular display yet.
As usual, Michelin’s presence at Goodwood is centered on displaying the most exciting and rare super, hyper and race cars currently available, for all those present to admire and perhaps a few of them to even buy.

It is in this surroundings, for instance, where De Tomaso will be introducing Project P, the car that is meant to be a revival of the nameplate after decades of absence.

The Prato Orage, a monster of a car equipped with an 8.1-liter displacement V8, will also be on the floor for its dynamic debut. Also on site is the Charge Mustang, an electric car looking just like the Eleanor Shelby GT500 from Gone in 60 Seconds.

Several other cars, including some that have been at the Michelin Supercar Paddock in the past, will be trying to catch the eye of the visitors: the Apollo Intensa Emozione with its 769 hp 6.3-liter Ferrari V8, the Koenigsegg Jesko, the Ginetta Akula or the 1,800 bhp Dendrobium D-1 hypercar.

“I simply cannot wait for this year’s Festival of Speed and the Michelin Supercar Paddock is gearing up to be a clear fan-favorite already,” said in a statement Tim Harvey, Michelin Supercar Paddock host.

“Such an awesome array of supercars from every corner of the globe, including the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, Prato, W Motors and Zenvo will all make this one of the most eclectic shows ever.”

This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, called Speed Kings – Motorsport’s Record Breakers, is dedicated to the people, machines and companies that over the years have made a mark on motorsports.
