I'm intrigued by camper van builds that come with uncommon features. That's why, as soon as I stumbled upon this luxurious tiny home on wheels with an incinerating toilet, I knew I had to share it with you. Moreover, as you'll soon see, other things besides the toilet set this mobile home apart.
What we have here is a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter with a 170" wheelbase and a 2WD. It was converted by OverVanding Solutions, a custom van conversion and overlanding company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The company makes custom van builds, as well as van build kits.

As usual, I'm starting this van's tour with the exterior. The rig rides on black aftermarket rims wrapped in all-terrain tires. Furthermore, it's equipped with a Van Compass 5.0 2-inch suspension lift kit, as well as extra leaf springs and adjustable shocks at the rear.

The hood, the bottom parts on the sides, and the roof are covered in Line-X truck bed liner spray for extra protection. Look above, and you'll notice KC lights – these not only produce a lot of light but also have a funny design with a smiley face. The "K" and "C" are the eyes, while the curved "Daylighter" makes up the mouth of the smiley face.

Climb on the roof via a ladder on the passenger side, and you'll discover an Aluminess roof rack holding a 320 W solar panel, a Fiamma awning, and the KC lights I mentioned above. The roof rack was modified to make room for the A/C and the incinerating toilet's tiny chimney.

At the rear, OverVanding Solutions installed a vertical bike rack and a sizeable aluminum storage box.

If you thought the exterior was well-equipped, wait till you see the inside. Pop the sliding door open, and you'll be greeted by a bright, beautifully designed interior.

This van's customer opted for a grey and white aesthetic, with white walls and cabinetry, grey countertops, and grey other touches, such as the upholstery. The look is completed by a white oak slatted ceiling, a faux concrete floor, and two walls (for the bathroom and kitchen), both of which are finished with eye-catching blue wallpapers.

Regarding the layout, this interior boasts an open one, meaning the driver's cabin isn't separated from the living space.

Step inside, and you'll be in the kitchen, which is split into two parts. On the driver's side, it features a small Isotherm refrigerator with a drawer above, a deep stainless steel sink with a cabinet underneath, and two sizeable overhead cabinets.

The other part consists of a large countertop, an oven/three-burner stove combo, two additional overhead cabinets, and many drawers.

Opposite the second part of the kitchen, you'll find this rig's bathroom. It consists of a shower, a bamboo mat, and one of this rig's highlights, a Cinderella incinerating toilet. This is the second time I've seen one installed in a van.

You're probably curious about how it works. First, you must know that there are two ways Cinderella toilets can be powered: via electricity or propane. The one I covered a while back in another article was powered via electricity, but it used a ton of power, and it's hard to make it sustainable.

OverVanding Solutions opted for a propane-powered one in this build, also known as the Cinderella Freedom. Long story short, all the toilet waste is incinerated at high temperatures. All that's left is a minimal amount of ash, and an LDC display lets you know when the ash container needs to be emptied.

The ash is completely sterile and contains nutrient salts with potassium and phosphorus. What's more, you don't need to dump it in designated spots; you just throw it away together with household waste. So, there's no need to run connections, empty tanks, or deal with compost like with other types of toilets.

However, incinerating toilets have one disadvantage: cost. The Cinderella toilets, depending on the model and the dealer, are priced at around $4,000 to $5,000 (€3,740 to €4,675) - you can almost build a no-frills camper van with that budget.

Walk deeper inside the camper, and you'll reach the lounge/bedroom. In the day mode, the space has two large couches wrapped in vinyl faux leather with a swivel table in the middle. What's more, they're connected at the rear through a small bench to form a "C" shape.

If you want to lie down comfortably or go to sleep, all you have to do is drop the table down, rearrange the cushions, and you'll have a king-size bed.

Other notable features in this part of the van are four overhead cabinets (two on each side), two Artic Tern windows with black-out shades and bug screens, a swivel fan, a floor-to-ceiling closet, and a Mabra 12 V A/C. Furthermore, the camper van's utility systems are housed underneath these two couches.

The power system is on the passenger side of the vehicle. Its highlights are three Battleborn batteries with a total 810 AH capacity, a 3,000 W inverter/charger, a DC-DC charger, and a solar charge controller connected to the 310 W solar panels on the roof. Moreover, you'll find the control panels for the electrical system in one of the kitchen overhead cabinets, featuring a Cerbo GX touchscreen display, a DC switch panel, and an AC breaker panel.

The plumbing system consists of a 46-gallon (174-liter) freshwater tank, a 4-gallon (15-liter) electric heater, and an outdoor shower.

OverVanding Solutions kept the customer's safety in mind by upgrading the locks on this van to include Thunderbolt deadlocks on each door.

All in all, the company did a fantastic job with this conversion. It's very well-equipped inside-out, boasts a powerful and capable power system, and has a homey and aesthetically pleasing design.

We don't know how much this camper van's customers paid for this build, nor a price range for OverVanding Solutions projects. If I were to guess how much this rig was offered for, I'd say somewhere around $150,000 (€140,244). You can find out more about this vehicle and its specific components on the builder's website.
