Aston Martin introduced its first-ever SUV on the market in 2020, and four years later, it brought the facelifted version of it and named it the DBX707.

One of the most significant changes to the car was its nameplate. Its predecessor was just the DBX, while the refreshed version sported the 707 number as well. This represented the base power for this SUV in the car manufacturer’s lineup: 707 PS (697 hp), which was a massive increase over its predecessor, the 2020 DBX, of 157 PS (155 hp), but the same figures as the 2022 DBX 707. The British automaker considered that all customers should get this upgrade in power provided by the 2022 special edition. Furthermore, besides some subtle changes to the exterior, the car also boasted a refreshed cabin that was even more luxurious and better equipped with advanced technologies. At the same time, customers were invited to personalize their vehicles via the Q program, which resembled the unique name of the legendary person from the James Bond franchise movies.

Up front, at first sight, it was the same vehicle. And yet, a keen eye for detail could notice the redesigned 3D badge that adorned the upper side of the front fascia. This was available in silver or black finish, depending on the options. The broad grille underneath the badge featured horizontal slats, while the side scoops sported horizontal LEDs for the daytime running lights. Furthermore, a black splitter under the apron confirmed the sports-oriented nature of the vehicle.

From its profile, the shape was similar to the one offered by the 2020 DBX, although it ran on a new set of 23-inch light-alloy wheels featuring diamond-cut finishes. The automaker spent some time redeveloping some exterior details to lower drag resistance. As a result, the 2024 Aston Martin DBX707 featured black side sills and new door mirrors that improved the aerodynamic coefficient. Out back, a duck-tail adorned the tailgate, while a massive roof spoiler was on the upper side of the rear window. Aston Martin considered that it could brag about the engine’s power and placed four round exhausts at the back, neatly integrated into the lower side of the bumper and flanking a massive diffuser, which was there for aerodynamic reasons, and it was not just for decoration.

While the exterior could pass as a similar vehicle to its predecessor, the interior was dramatically refreshed. Fronting the driver was a fresh instrument cluster filled with a 12.3-inch TFT screen, 1.5 inches larger than the one from its predecessor. In addition, on the center stack, the car manufacturer installed a new 10.25-inch touchscreen carried over from the DB12 and the Vantage. The piano-black decorations on the center console and around the cabin were also available, depending on the options. Aston Martin didn’t consider replacing the previous high-bolstered seats on the DBX, but it offered them with new leather upholsteries.

Under the hood, the British car manufacturer installed the same AMG-sourced V8 engine. Its four-liter displacement and the bi-turbo setup helped it get 707 PS (697 hp), and it was paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission provided by the same German specialist. Thanks to these enhancements and the all-wheel drive system tuned for performance, the 2024 DBX 707 could rocket from a standstill to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in a mere 3.1 seconds on its way to a 311 kph (193 mph) top speed.
