Tesla has already warned customers that the Cybertruck, with its body of stainless steel, is next to impossible to paint. But there is always the wrap solution. And here is the first-ever Cybertruck in gloss black.
Tesla announced that it would offer wrapping solutions right from the factory. The Cybertruck Color Paint Film in either black or white that the carmaker offers costs $6,500 and can be purchased in the Tesla App by scanning the QR code on the online shop page. The price includes the material and installation in a Tesla service center in California.

There will also be shops specialized in changing the looks of vehicles that will cover the Cybertruck in any color or pattern design that may go through the customers’ minds. The straight surfaces and sharp angles of the electric pickup truck will make things simple for the experts.

However, so far, we have only seen the Cybertruck with very limited customization. Almost all Cybertrucks that we have laid our eyes on so far were sporting the unpainted stainless steel body.

Unplugged Performance came up with a model in white, shown in a rendering, at the beginning of December, together with various off-road accessories.

Days before the official handover event held at the Giga Texas, Tesla’s design chief, Franz von Hotzhausen, was spotted driving out of a cars and coffee event in a Cybertruck in matte Stealth Black. It drew attention everywhere it went, eveybody wanted a piece of that. But here comes something that takes the spotlight off the matte black. It is the gloss black.

A video uploaded in former Twitter / current X shows the Cybertruck in a gloss black wrap, displaying an eye-catching shine. It is so shiny that it mirrors everything around it. It is the idea of the T Sportline team. The company is a manufacturer of aftermarket accessories.

For the moment, Tesla is selling only the Foundation Series variant, which starts at $120,000 to those who cannot wait for the lesser trims coming for more affordable prices. Only ten examples were delivered on November 30, during the handover event held at the Giga Texas, with few others being delivered without much fuss. So, the aftermarket shops offering wrap solutions aren’t exactly crowded for the moment.

The gloss black is not yet listed on the firm’s website. But they offer Satin Stealth Black, Crimson Red, Forest Green, Glacier Blue, Satin Rose Gold, and several neutral shades for $4,750. So we should expect the shiny black to be available for a similar price. All customers have to do is confirm that their Cybertruck is either delivered or on its way in order to make an appointment with the shop.
