Alfa Romeo has many reasons to celebrate – worldwide sales figures are doing great on account of the recently refreshed Giulia and Stelvio, plus the introduction of the Tonale compact crossover SUV, for example. And then there is also the Quadrifoglio anniversary.
Roughly a century has passed since Alfa Romeo's Quadrifoglio made its motorsport debut – and of course, the unique moniker is now celebrated with a couple of special editions. Those would be the new Giulia sedan and Stelvio CUV dressed in Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversary, or Anniversario, as the Italians love to call them, that were presented back in early April. But here is the thing. You cannot get any of them anymore because, first, they were limited to just 200 units worldwide, and second, all sold out in around two months.

Unfortunately, if you feel inconsolable, we can do little to alleviate the Quadrifoglio pain with this stunning Alfa Romeo GTV Quadrifoglio resurrection project first, because it is entirely unofficial and unrelated to the Stellantis-owned brand, and second because it is a personal CGI work of art by a member of the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. As such, it is completely wishful thinking. However, we still feel that it is too good to pass it without a few words – especially if you see the heart-shaped LED taillights as an open letter of love addressed to nimble and quick grand tourers.

But let us kick off the digital proceeds with the beginning. So, the good folks over at car.design.trends were the ones who initially focused our attention on this personal Alfa Romeo project from kennethik, who cooked up a stunning GTV revival. Kenneth Boron (or Ken ko on social media), the artist, started this a while back, but he only recently decided to finish it as a full 3D model. His primary design goal was to emulate the looks of the original Type 116 Alfa Romeo GTV from the late 1970s to the end of the 1980s with "an effort to reinterpret it as a modern grand tourer."

A nimble one, not a land yacht, though, by the looks of this CGI fastback coupe, so it was only natural for the pixel master to admit that he also "took a lot of inspiration from the legendary Disco Volante" (1900 C52) experimental sports car. Interestingly, there were two other design directions before the digital car expert arrived at the 3D conclusion, one looking more like a low-slung hypercar and the other like a sleek Shooting Brake. In the end, though, this fastback GT ethos prevailed, and now we are facing a compact and nimble Alfa Romeo GTV revival idea that has a minimalist profile intertwined with a show of force at the front by way of a predatory bird-style beak and a subtle, loving rear with heart-shaped LED taillights.
