Lincoln has just launched the Navigator Black Gold Edition in China, and the full-size SUV is a sight to behold in – as you must have guessed – black and gold. It comes with generous standard equipment and the 'Oh, look at me' kind of attitude.
The American carmaker unveiled the new special edition in China, world’s biggest car market, and is trying to lure customers with the extra features that this version sports.

The Navigator Black Gold Edition is based on the long-wheelbase version of the SUV, now in its fourth generation, and slots below the limited edition Navigator One, a luxury limited edition that the company also rolled out as a China-only product exactly one year ago. So, we are dealing with 222.7 inches (5,657 millimeters) of black and gold. There is enough room on board for a 2+2+3 layout, since the model is a seven-seater.

Not much has changed about the looks of the vehicle that Lincoln dressed in a bi-tone livery with black and white. Meanwhile, the knight badge shows up on the C-pillar. The carmaker also came up with the projection of the badge from the puddle lights, together with the ‘Lincoln Motor Company Special Edition’ lettering. The radiator grille, matrix LED headlights, and turbine-inspired 22-inch alloy wheels are shared with the Presidential Edition trim.

The interior color combo matches the one on the body. The Manhattan-inspired engraving on the solid wood veneer is optional, and so is the Gulf Blu shade of the Venetian leather upholstery.

The front seats of the seven-seater got 30-way electric adjustments and five different massage programs. These are heated and ventilated,  just like the independent captain chairs in the second row, which also have the massage function, controlled via a 5.8-inch touchscreen located in the armrest. There is also a 28-speaker Revel Ultima sound system on board.

Lincoln did not make any changes on the powertrain. That means that the Navigator Black Gold Edition is powered by the same twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, which delivers 410 horsepower (415 PS) and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) of torque to all four wheels via a ten-speed automatic transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential mounted on the rear axle. The carmaker also equipped the SUV with an adaptive suspension with predictive function.

To keep up with the market, the Lincoln, too, had to slash prices for both the Aviator and the Navigator. The Navigator now starts at 1,008,000 yuan ($137,543) in China, while the Aviator comes with a price tag of 500,800 ($68,335). No mods yet on the prices of the other Lincon models that are currently sold in China: the Z sedan, the Nautilus, and Corsair SUVs.
