A 1969 Chevrolet Corvette that was "raced and parked" is now looking for a new home where it can eventually get a complete restoration.
The 1969 Corvette production reached 38,762 units, with the coupe accounting for more than 57% of the output. Chevrolet built 22,129 coupes and 16,633 convertibles despite the first carrying a higher price tag in the base configuration.

A base Corvette coupe fitted with a 350 engine rated at 300 horsepower and a three-speed manual transmission was available for $4,781. The base convertible with the same engine and transmission configuration could be had for $4,438.

Most Vettes rolled off the assembly lines with the L46 engine under the hood, while 10,351 units were fitted with the L36 – a 427 block rated at 390 horsepower. Only 116 Corvettes used the L88 427 with 430 horsepower.

The Corvette in these photos comes with a 427 390-horsepower unit, but the engine under the hood no longer seems original. While all components are dated February 1969, the engine block is dated June 1969. eBay seller Harleyjim says they believe "it is the factory CE replacement block."

The owner posted a detailed description of the car on eBay, but you must know that the car was raced and then abandoned behind a building. It's been sitting since 1991, so the car hasn't moved in over three decades. However, the Corvette is far from becoming a wreck, with the owner insisting the frame is not rotted.

The engine has already been removed, and it's believed it'll need a full rebuild. It has not been turned in years, so you'll need a good mechanic to bring it back to life. The gas tank has already been repaired.

The odometer indicates an intriguing number, and the owner says the interior is living proof the car didn't spend many years on the road. The Vette has 50K miles (80,500 km) on the clock, and it's believed this is the original mileage.

The interior looks good but needs a thorough cleaning. It's unclear if anything is missing.

Now, let's talk money. The Corvette was posted on eBay with a no-reserve auction, meaning it only needs a single bid to leave for a new home. Fortunately, that bid has already arrived, with someone sending a $10K offer for the car. The digital fight will end in approximately five days, so the pricing could still go up in the remaining time. If you want to see it in person, you must travel to Webster, New York, and you'll need a trailer to take it home, considering the engine is no longer in the car.

The owner says they have many more photos with the car, so if you're interested in this Vette, contact them to discuss more details and see Corvette in detail.
