Nissan fans in America are patiently waiting for the introduction of the 2024 Z Nismo this summer, as promised. But what if the Japanese automaker also had other aces up its sleeve?
In America, there is an interesting battle at the top of the roster for the sales crown – and after the first six months of the year, the delivery tallies have shown that General Motors bested Toyota for the halftime gold medal.

The Japanese automaker had a strong roster of novelties going for itself but probably lost the crown because GM sells a lot more full-size pickup trucks. The Detroit automaker also has an excellent command of the truck-based full-size body-on-frame SUV sector with the Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon plus Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL twins. Oh, and not to mention the image vector – Caddy's Escalade.

As such, no wonder that other automakers may be trying to take a page out of their mass-market plus luxury full-size SUV book. Toyota is working hard to present a new, fashionable duet formed by the 2024 Lexus GX and the upcoming 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser. But what if Nissan decided to strike back?

For a while already, the rumor mill has been circulating whispers about the impending introduction of the Y63 Nissan Patrol and the arrival of a new Infiniti QX80 that might be capable of scaring the BMW X7 away with its fresher split-headlight design.

Now, the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have recently imagined the CGI looks of the upcoming, third-gen 2024 or 2025 Armada (Y63) full-size SUV as the American counterpart of the iconic Patrol nameplate. As per the previous rumors, this, too, is seen ready to ditch the massive 5.6-liter V8 in favor of a new twin-turbo V6 mill when it comes to the right time to switch iterations from the Y62 that has been on the market since 2017 with an intermediate 2021 refresh.

Not much is known about the next Armada from the official channels, so do always take all of this with a healthy dose of salt. Alas, the channel's resident pixel master was undeterred in presenting the possible changes, which include a bold new front end and a cleaner side profile. The new front fascia is modeled after the recent Nissan Pathfinder Concept, which was one of the best surprise appearances at Auto Shanghai 2023 in spring.

The host believes the interior could also take ample cues from there, but they did not bother to express their feelings digitally. On the other hand, this channel is renowned for its unofficial yet ritzy color reel – and the 2024 or 2025 Armada was depicted in more colors than it will probably get in real life. So, did you select a favorite, and do you think it would have a good chance of fighting the upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser?
