Hyundai and Kia are two of the most prolific automakers right now – and they boldly steer towards cool design choices with most of their latest introductions, such as the facelifted Kia Sorento or the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe.
Interestingly, everyone has an opinion about the latter. The crossover SUV was originally a compact affair during the first generation, between 2000 and 2006, and was named after the city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, and that turned out to be a great inspiration. As automotive history recorded it, Hyundai's new Santa Fe CUV was a hit with American buyers, paving the way to the company's revolution of the late 1990s-early 2000s.

Since the second generation was presented in 2005, the model was upgraded to mid-size crossover SUV status so it wouldn't trespass on Tucson's territory anymore and always had a sweeping, flowing design. Well, that was completely changed with the initial, soft arrival of the MX5 fifth-generation Santa Fe this July – the official world premiere will take place in August on Hyundai's YouTube channel, actually.

Until then, folks have quickly compared it to the ritzier and much more expensive Land Rover Defender due to its boxiness, but Hyundai probably couldn't care less. Instead, they wanted to make a statement with the H-patterned LED front lights, the rugged styling, and the roomy interior that now again has space for three rows of seats, unlike the previous iteration that was only offered with five seats.

Naturally, that attracted much attention everywhere, including the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. Regarding the latter, we have seen the initial digital projects separate in two distinct manners – some went for the street-savvy approach. In contrast, others embraced the crossover SUV's ruggedly tough demeanor and envisioned it as a true off-roader, even though we are probably not dealing with a switch to a body-on-frame architecture.

The Korean automotive artworks hero behind the Little Black Ant (lba_photoshop) moniker on social media has joined the party of Hyundai Santa Fe enthusiasts that believe the unibody crossover SUV has what it takes to become a true 4x4 adventurer, even if only virtually. As such, he gave the unsuspecting CUV a thorough off-road makeover that included a beefier engine hood, amber-tinted LEDs, additional trail lights, a new bumper with added protection, integrated tow hooks, probably also a winch, tough side steps, a practical roof rack, and of course also a set of humongous all-terrain tires mounted on huge beadlock wheels to bode well for the lifted suspension and wide fender flares.

However, maybe that's not your Hyundai cue. No worries, the pixel master has a solution if you would prefer your Hyundai to be 'streetable' and also a lot more sustainable. So, based on the recent Ioniq 6 sedan, the CGI expert imagined the N version with a custom widebody kit, slammed beyond belief, and also rocked a nice set of big-lipped black aftermarket wheels. So, which one would you prefer to adorn your garage, if ever real?
