After a considerable effort during the first six months of the year to recapture the sales glory from General Motors through a host of significant introductions on the American market, Toyota didn't relent.
Instead, they pushed through with an even bigger hero than the all-new, fourth-generation N400 Toyota Tacoma mid-size pickup truck superstar. As such, in the middle of June, they dropped the bomb on social media – the Land Cruiser nameplate was returning to the United States following a short hiatus when only the J310 Lexus LX 600 remained available as an off-road-oriented flagship SUV.

Interestingly, the rumors panned out – this version that was coming to America was not the J300 Land Cruiser sold in Japan and other markets but rather the model twinned with the European variant. And the Old Continent always got the 'smaller,' nimbler Land Cruiser Prado, so speculation arose that we would see the new 250 series with a new addition to the moniker.

Following a quick, vintage-style second teaser where the silhouette of the all-new Land Cruiser for America dwelled into the rocky limelight alongside a decades-old FJ40 forebear at sunrise or sunset, now we have confirmation of the exact nameplate via the third and last teaser shown on social media before the official reveal taking place on August 1 for the American specification. And Toyota chose to simply name it '2024 Land Cruiser.' Nothing less, nothing more.

Now, with one of the most important SUVs of the year so close to its official introduction, it is only logical that everyone is hyped about its impending arrival – including the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. For example, the good folks over at Kolesa, along with their resident pixel master Nikita Chuicko, aka 'kelsonik' on social media, have gone wild with the all-new 2024 Land Cruiser and imagined its looks based on the snippets of information and teasers that are already available.

According to their vision and the profile shared on social media, it was taking a look-see on the horizon alongside the old FJ40; most of the body will probably be shared with the acclaimed 2024 Lexus GX 550. The front and rear, on the other hand, as shown in the photo where it shared another vintage moment with an FJ62 Land Cruiser and the video revealing it loves the great outdoors, are custom-made for the Toyota version.

As for the technical details, they have yet to be officially confirmed, but the rumor mill strongly believes the 2024 Land Cruiser will logically share the TNGA-F body-on-frame version of the modular, global Toyota platform. However, the engines will not be shared with the GX 550 as an unconfirmed report states the 250 series will have to rely solely on four-pot powertrains – with or without turbo and possibly even with electrification.
