A Ford Mustang veered off the road and into the wall of a building. It happened on Shelby Street in Indianapolis, which prompted social media users to kick off what looks like a joke competition.
Local police got a call at 01:08 PM on Monday afternoon from someone who was letting them know that there was a car gone halfway through the wall of the house. When they arrived at the scene, the police officers could not believe their eyes. A Ford Mustang was all the way to the B-pillar inside the building, with the rear windows, wheels, and trunk hanging out.

The driver was still inside the car, and he was eventually able to evacuate himself. He suffered minor injuries and was transported to the nearest hospital for a checkout.

He was unable to provide the necessary information to the police officers, so an investigation is underway to determine what the exact reason the Mustang was airborne and slammed into the building was.

The GT reportedly hit a curb, the driver lost control of the car, went over the lawn outside the building and halfway through the wall, which seems to be made of plywood.

There is no photograph of the front end of the muscle car. Hopefully, that 5.0-liter V8 powering the GT is still in place and running. However, there is a chance that the front might look worse than the rear end, where it lost the rear bumper in the process, exposing more of the quad exhaust tips. The passenger's side rear fender looks a bit crumpled following the crash. Firefighters must have had quite a headache forcing the Mustang out of that wall.

Just one week of 2024 has passed, and we've got a brand-new Mustang crash that is making the rounds because the aftermath is nothing short of spectacular. You don’t get to see a car hanging from the wall of a building every day.

The accident took place at 2001 Shelby Street. However, we are not dealing with a Shelby, but with a Ford Mustang GT. The coincidence sparked tons of jokes on social media. "If you wanted a Shelby, you should have just said so," someone recommended.

"He must have missed that sign," someone wrote below a photo showing a traffic sign that read "Dead end."

"That's not a shortcut. And obviously, the Mustang does not fit in that garage," another user writes. If the wall the Mustang hit does indeed belong to a garage, we all hope that the driver has a solid insurance policy. Ruining the wall of a building and a car sheltered in the garage surely sounds expensive.

Someone else points out that Mustang drivers have a reputation to uphold. That is why they started early in the year.
