You know that one girl you just can’t stop thinking about even though deep down you realize what a mistake it would be to try and hook up with her? Yeah, that one. She’s very similar to the rear-wheel drive version of the Huracan Evo, in the sense that you’d be settling for less just so you can experience a few thrills along the way.
Still, I think we all know how that story ends. Very few of us are actually capable of showing restraint, and the only lessons we learn along the way are learned the hard way. I mean, just look at ‘her’ - and by her, I mean this 2022 Huracan Evo RWD Spyder. Or do I? Let’s pretend I do.

This Lambo is currently up for grabs to the highest bidder, and fatal flaw aside, it’s got a heck of a lot going for it. For starters, it has just 4,700 miles on the clock, which means it’s still relatively brand-new, and if you hurry up with your bid, you might be able to grab it for a decent price. It’s still going to cost you over $230,000, but that’s a reasonable sum for most Huracan buyers, especially if the spec is something special, which this is.

Let’s start with the exterior and work our way down... I mean in! Deep breaths. Right, so the first thing you’ll notice is the Bianco Icarus colorway, which makes for an awesome shade of white. It also works well in contrast to the gloss black elements (splitter, diffuser, skirts and so on).

Other visual highlights include the transparent engine cover, LED lights, heated power-folding side mirrors, plus a set of black 20” Aesir wheels with Pirelli P Zero rubber and Lamborghini-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all corners. This Huracan also features a front-axle lift system, which is a must-have on just about any Italian exotic.

Meanwhile, inside is where you’ll find the Nero Ade and orange Sportivo leather with Alcantara, complemented by carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin. The car also comes with the Sensonum audio system, a rearview camera, ambient lighting, Evo embroidery, and sports seats. It’s a gorgeous interior. Even the floor mats stand out.

As for what’s going on in terms of performance, you should know that its 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine produces 602 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, with everything going exclusively to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

So then, what’s the fatal flaw, you ask? It’s simple, really. Why on Earth would you want a rear-wheel drive Huracan? You’re not going to take this Evo Spyder to the track, and you’re not going to be power sliding onto the PCH. To make matters worse, Lamborghini detuned the engine to just 602 horsepower from the 640 you’d get with the regular Evo, which has all-wheel drive.

For that reason, the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder needs 3.5 seconds in order to hit 60 mph, meaning it’s half a second slower than its AWD sibling. Half a second is a lot for a supercar, I mean, you’d be slower to 60 mph than a BMW M4 in this thing.

Fast acceleration is pretty much the calling card for a Lamborghini Huracan, and I never understood why you’d want to seriously compromise that just so you could oversteer a little bit more. Ridiculous.
