A semi with a trailer transporting several Tesla Cybertrucks got the California Highway Patrol wondering: What are they? Where are they going? They posted the photos and questions on Facebook.
You have surely heard about the Tesla Cybertruck unless you have been living under a rock for the past four years. Oops! That is something you should not say to those men in uniform patrolling the Californian highways. Because some of them have surely not heard about Tesla’s electric pickup truck with a radical design and bulletproof windows that cracked at the official unveiling. And you surely don't want to get a cop angry at you with such a remark.

The pre-production version was unveiled in November 2019. For the past four years, all Elon Musk has been doing was brag about, promote, and even drive prototypes on public roads. This summer, the model has just entered production, with deliveries set to start towards the end of Q3.

So Tesla might be hauling production models from one location to another. And that is what the Buttonwillow, California, patrol police might have seen on the highway. "One of our units spotted a few car haulers loaded with some strange trucks traveling northbound on Interstate 5. I wonder what they are? Where are they going?" the Facebook post reads. The patrol is asking people to help them identify the models. As expected, the post sparked interest, and users rushed into the comments section for some amusement.

At first, people who got the post in their Facebook feed thought the policemen were just trolling their followers. But it wasn't that. They simply did not know what they were dealing with. We must give them some credit. The Cybetrucks probably do look different up on the hauler, at high speed on the highway, from the vehicles we have seen in official or amateur photos and videos.

"Space Force Orbital Police squads. All good," says Jon in the comments section, making fun of their ignorance.
"They are battery packs and going to Duracell," Jaspreet jokes.
Some are happy to see that the Cybertruck they reserved four years ago for a $100 deposit is finally on its way.

Traveling northbound on Interstate 5 might indicate that the Cybetrucks were going to the Tesla Fremont Factory, the carmaker's first assembly plant.

Back in July, there were 1.9 million pre-orders registered for the Cybetruck, figures that equal the population of Pheonix, for instance. So these examples will most likely make some of those customers happy. The waiting list for the eccentric electric truck is reportedly five years. But production has already kicked off at Giga Texas. So it should not take long before there will be Tesla Cybetrucks just about everywhere. Police officers will know better then.
