A Tesla Cybertruck was spotted over the weekend in Los Gatos, CA, with a parking ticket slipped under its gigantic wiper. People pitied the police officer who wrestled the gigawiper to place the ticket but also decried the poor build quality of the Cybertruck prototype.
Tesla has already handed out Cybertrucks to YouTubers and other influencers for testing, which explains the iconic pickup truck appearing in many locations across the country. That is in addition to Tesla employees, who are already testing the pickup truck as their daily driver. While the Cybertrucks are out and about, it's obvious that they are like rolling billboards for Tesla, for better or worse.

On the one hand, people get to see the Cybertruck and associate its never-seen-before design with cutting-edge technologies and the future of cars. It's impossible not to see the difference compared to other dull pickup trucks on the roads. But there's a downside: more people get to see the imperfections of an unfinished product and draw conclusions based on them.

It's true: even though the Cybertruck Delivery Event is only two weeks away, Tesla's pickup is far from complete. The prototypes people see on display at various events or just casually roaming the streets are pre-production vehicles, which means there are likely build quality issues, missing parts, and such. It's hard to make an objective opinion based on a pre-production vehicle. One thing is sure, though: everyone loves the Cybertruck, even when loathing its flaws.

A Tesla Cybertruck was spotted on Saturday in Los Gatos, California, and had a little for everybody. Tesla fans saw the impressive design and proportions and enjoyed having enough time to analyze it thoroughly. Tesla critics saw the panel gaps, misalignment issues, and other quality issues, as they, too, took the time to explore it thoroughly. But the most surprising thing about the Cybertruck in Los Gatos was the parking ticket under its humongous wiper.

This was probably the first time a Cybertruck got a ticket in its short history. There has been at least one occasion when a Cybertruck got pulled over by police. In that case, I suspect it was more likely out of curiosity than for breaking the rules. This time, the driver probably got the ticket because the Cybertruck was parked in front of the Los Gatos theater in the passenger loading zone.

As people on the internet saw the parking ticket, they couldn't help but notice the gigawiper, too. The jokes quickly flooded the internet. It surely came a long way from the laser cleaning patent Tesla filed a while back. Not to mention all the effort the police officers must have put into raising the wiper. Some say they used a crane or something similar. Suggestions to eliminate the wiper to avoid tickets were also considered. However, with all those panel gaps, tickets could be placed anywhere on the Cybertruck's body.
