The Tesla Cybertruck Can Take An Arrow to the Knee, but Stairs Are Its Weakness?

Not long ago, in October, the latest and greatest (but still missing) Tesla Cybertruck was seen in a UFO or Bigfoot-like sighting. Thankfully, the footage wasn't blurry or CGI, and we saw the Cybertruck going at it in the off-road landscape of Hollister Hills SVRA in California. New footage has surfaced with the truck going at it again. Where some people only found fault, others quickly jumped to defend the yet-unreleased and weirdly shaped electric pickup.
It's no secret that internet celebrity and podcaster Joe Rogan is friends with Tesla's main honcho, Elon Musk. Recently, during one of their friendship-bound podcasts, they started getting into Cybertruck details.

When asked by Rogan about the weight, Musk revealed that "depending on the configuration," it weighs between 6,000 - 7,000 lbs. or 2,721 - 3,175 kg. It's not much different than a Ford F-150 Lightning with a base curb weight that ranges between 6,015 lbs. for the Standard Range Battery and a maximum of 6,893 lbs. for the Platinum package.

The awe-inspiring thing is that Tesla aims at a sub 3.0 second 0-60 mph target in the "Beast Mode" version, beating even the Rivian R1T.

Then, they went on about the bulletproof aspects of the side of the car. Elon Musk said that during testing, they emptied out clips from weapons like the "Tommy Gun," shotguns, .45 caliber, and 9mm with no penetrations. He said, "It comes that way from the factory."

Joe Rogan is sometimes like a 12-year-old kid who wants to shoot things just because it's cool, which was great in this case because it led to him shooting a broadhead arrow at the Cybertruck to see if it could put a dent in it.

So, they took an 80-lb compound bow that can shoot arrows up to 275 feet per second or 187.5 mph (302 kph). They put the outer shell to the test, all for the fantastic sum of one whole dollar. It reminds me of the old Eddy Murphy and Dan Aykroyd movie, Trading Places, from 1983. How time flies, ey...?

After Rogan fired the shot, Elon's words rang true, and the most the projectile did was to put a small dent in it. The funny part was when the broadhead snapped from the shaft of the arrow, rendering it
useless.

Returning to our Californian stepping story, the Cybertruck has been seen again attempting to climb "the stair steps" at the Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area. The steep incline and slippery cylindrical shape of the "stair steps" would be challenging for any 4x4.

If you turn the volume up on the video, you can hear the wheels squeak in agony as you see the Cybertruck trying to maintain its grip, but also its cool rugged good looks.

At the end of the day, the Tesla made it up those stairs successfully, and with its rear doors closed. In case you weren't "in the know," a recent video showed the Cybertruck having back door locking issues on an inclined plane, which isn't a good look for the yet-to-be-released seemingly bulletproof truck.

As always with Tesla-related social media posts, people take sides. In this video, some congratulate the vehicle on reaching the top of the hill, given the high difficulty. Others... not so much.

No matter on which side of the fence you're on with the Cybertruck, the vital question is, when will this thing be mass produced, and more importantly, when is it coming to Cyberpunk 2077?
