Renault Presents Clio RS 200 Raider With Matte Paint

You know that a new generation of a car is coming when an automaker is releasing more limited edition models than you can keep track of. After the Silverstone, Renault has just revealed the new Clio RS 200 Raider, another limited edition model of the popular compact hothatch destined for the UK market.
We’re big fans of the 200, and this is clearly the coolest version ever, as it is offered with matte paint, either Stealth Grey or Diavolo Red. This is set off using gloss black on the gloss black roof, rear spoiler, F1-style front blade, rear diffuser and door mirrors. It’s also got tint on the windows as standard and some killer wheels: 18-inch Interlagos finished in black for contrast.

What’s more, this is based on the Cup chassis, so you get the lower and stiffer ride, quicker steering and red Brembo brake calipers.

“Customers can order their Raider with a no cost choice of either Renaultsport Monitor – Renaultsport’s on-board telemetry system – or Carminat TomTom Live satellite navigation,”
the automaker adds. Renault says can because this is a lightened, stripped down track rocket, so you might not want to way it down.

Only 50 will ever be made for the UK market, and no pricing information has yet been released. The model should also be available in the rest of Europe, since the pictures show a left-hand drive configuration.

Given the hot combination of a fast hatch and matte paint, these should sell like hot-cakes provided it’s not that expensive. However, their trick yellow/gold paint cost a pretty penny, so this won’t come for free either.
