New Renault Clio Williams to Come in 2012

Renault will turn heads more than ever with the upcoming rebirth of the Clio Williams, one the best rated sport cars in history. The new Clio Williams will be a kind of “super special edition” as Renault "doesn’t want to pollute the [Renault and Williams] tie-up with simply a marketing exercise , you can rest assured it will be something suitably uprated from the standard car” related by autoexpress.co.uk.

The all new Clio Williams will benefit from the boost of an 2.0-liter naturally aspired engine that will put out power from 197 hp to around 240 hp.The suspension will be similar to the set-up in the current Renaultsport Clio Cup, but will have race-derived Sachs dampers, similar to Clio 182 Trophy that was launched in 2005. The French automaker will release the new Clio at the end of 2012 which will also mark the final farewell for the current Ranaultsport Clio 200.

The new Clio will also offer bigger brakes and Bridgestone Potenza tires, similar to the ones on the new Megane 265 Trophy, which made a total spectacle at the Nurburgring setting a new lap record for a front wheel drive car.

Instead of being a pure breed race model when it comes to inside trims, the new Clio will offer all the kit from the standard variant, including climate control and TomTom sat-nav.

The newcomer will also include Recaro seats embossed with the Williams logo and also to mention that every model will have a plaque that will show each car’s place in the manufacturing process.

The new Renault Clio Williams is expected to have price tag of around GBP25,000.
