Paul Pogba’s Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge was just inches away from taking a hit from mother nature. After a storm in the UK, a huge tree branch fell far enough for the luxury car to escape unharmed.
Paul Pogba is a French professional soccer player who is currently on Manchester United’s payroll as a center midfielder. But living in the UK proves to be quite troublesome for the player, because one of his cars was just inches away from getting... injured.
Poga drives a Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge. His wife, model Zulay Pogba, took it to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, October 21, and uploaded a snap that showed a tree branch fallen over the night just a few feet away from their expensive car, which was parked in their driveway. She captioned the photo “This happened last night.” The vehicle was not harmed at all, and it was just covered in leaves and raindrops.
According to weather reports, fierce winds hit Manchester with gusts reaching 50 mph (80 kph), so the Rolls was really lucky.
While this was a close call for the Wraith Black Badge, Pogba doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to keeping it safe, despite its exotic stance and price tag. Early this year, The Sun reported the soccer player retrieved his car from a police car pound after 270 days. After months and months of leaving it there, the soccer player had to pay £5,500 ($7,500) to take it back. That's pocket change for the midfielder who earns about €17.6 million ($20,5 million) per year playing for United.
It ended up there after the police caught Pogba close to Manchester Airport while still having Monaco license plates. The French had failed to register it in the UK.
The Black Badge version is the most expensive Wraith available on the market, with a starting price of around $380,000. Maybe from now on Paul Pogba could be more careful with his limited-edition car, because you know what they say – third time’s a charm.
