Now that the Lamborghini Urus is a common presence in "supercar" circles, there are more and more owners of the go-fast SUV who are looking for the extra custom touch. Of course, aftermarket developers are more than glad to help.
So far, we've receive a few Lamborghini Urus body kits and we're certain the rest of the year will bring more aero bits and pieces for the Sant'Agata Bolognese high-rider.
However, nobody has come up with a set of Lambo doors (read: upright operation) for the machine - as far as the factory is concerned, the said hardware is reserved for the company's V12 models (the Aventador, of course), so the Huracan and the Urus have to make due with the kind of door mechanism you'd find on your mom's Audi.
Well, it seems that a digital art label has now adressed that matter. As you'll get to notice in the brief clip found at the bottom of the page, this Urus has been pixel-gifted with Lambo doors.
2NCS, the label behind the stunt, might be familiar, since this isn't the first time it delivers a wild take on the Raging Bull SUV. In fact, last time we discussed such a matter, we brought you something that makes this example seem tame, namely an Urus 6x6 proposal.
Visual tricks aside, we also want to discuss the tech side of the Urus modificiation market.
Since the super-SUV is animated by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, a mere ECU tune is enough to allow the engine to deliver serious extra power. And the kits we've seen so far take the engine from 650 to 800 horses.
Such 800-pony examples of the Urus are expected to dive into the 10s quarter-mile arena under perfect conditions, even though the best results achieved to date involve low-11s runs.
Nevertheless, we should get to see the Urus receiving custom turbos and other goodies of the sort, which might push the output into the four-digit territory.
P.S.: For the sake of comparison, we've added an image showcasing stock Urus with its doors open below the rendering effort.
