2021 is a big year for British carmaker Jaguar: it will be celebrating 60 years since the introduction of the E-Type, a model that has long left the scene but is still making the rounds on the collectors’ market. And such a special occasion calls for a special project.
Jaguar revealed on Wednesday, December 3, that it tapped SV Bespoke for the creation of a limited edition to honor the anniversary. No, we’ll not be getting some revived E-Type, but rather an F-Type wearing a special party suit.

The base car for the limited run – you guessed, 60 of them will be made – is the F-Type R, with its 575 PS (567 hp) V8 under the hood. It will be made available in both coupe and convertible body styles and can be specced in solid Sherwood Green, an original E-Type color Jaguar has been keeping locked away in its vaults for decades.

As usual, in such cases, there are no performance changes made to the base car, just visual and comfort upgrades. Added by hand, the unique appointments include an exclusive aluminum console finisher inspired by the E-type’s rear-view mirror casing, the typical complement of proper logos, badges, and plaques, as well as gloss black 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

“Celebrating 60 years of the iconic Jaguar E-type is the perfect moment to create our first-ever SV Bespoke limited edition – and the rarest F-Type, with just 60 cars available globally,” said in a statement Mark Turner, Commercial Director, Jaguar SV Bespoke.

“We’ve worked closely with Jaguar Design to develop a theme for the F-Type Heritage 60 Edition that pays homage to the E-type in a contemporary way. It’s testament to Jaguar’s sports car design lineage that the 1960s Sherwood Green color looks as though it was designed for today’s F-Type.”

According to the Brits, the anniversary model should be available next year, and each of the 60 cars is priced at £122,500 in the UK (that would be the equivalent of roughly $165,000 at today’s exchange rates). Full details on the limited run can be found in the press release section below.
