The concept shown at the Beijing Motor Show previews the future Honda Odyssey which the manufacturer intends to sell primarily in the Chinese market and other ever-growing developing countries. Other, more mature markets will get a different, slightly larger Odyssey.
In a typically Japanese way of presenting things, Honda says that the ‘S’ stands for ‘stylish, smart and surprise’ even though it’s no longer a surprise that they make stylish and smart concept cars. Hopefully the design won’t be toned down too much for production, because in its current incarnation it looks really good.

The front of the car looks quite aggressive and sharp, with Honda using only LEDs for illumination, ditching any form of a conventional setup. The side profile is quite sleek and the car is probably quite aerodynamic, while the rear lights merge both with the rear window and a chrome strip running along the bottom of the boot-lid.

The overall result of all those styling details and the use of a yet-unknown hybrid powertrain make this concept very interesting and we’re looking forward to seeing how the design will translate into the final production version of the car.
