The 1964 Chevrolet Impala was part of the third generation, and it was manufactured for just four years for MY 1961 to 1964.
The last-year third-generation Impala came with a series of styling refinements, all of which were supposed to make the car look a little bit less boxy. Some changes happened in the engine lineup too, but the 409ci (6.7-liter) V8 was the star of the show, despite most choices from the previous years still remaining available in 1964.
A living example of how great the ’64 Impala really was is the model that we have right here, and which is said to be one of the few units that came with the 409 engine for MY 1964. MS Classic Cars, which purchased the car from the second owner - who himself kept it for no less than 55 years - reveals that the restoration process was started in 1992 and completed three years later.
Bringing the car to mind condition was the job of Show Car Automotive, who turned this Impala into a showstopper that has already won plenty of awards in the United States.
