It’s a pity that Jeep hasn't continued the Trackhawk tradition with the latest generation Grand Cherokee, as the Hellcat-powered model was an absolute beast. Actually, it still is a force to be reckoned with, and it only needs some minimal elbow grease to overcome its OEM status.
Examples boasting a four-digit output are pretty common, at least when it comes to North America, but the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is a unicorn overseas. As a result, it immediately captures the attention of bystanders in all kinds of environments, especially during a drag racing event, which is where this black copy was filmed doing its thing.

With no outside intervention, this beastly SUV is capable of hitting 60 mph (97 kph) quicker than some previous-generation supercars. The sprint is dealt with in 3.4 seconds, and aiding its performance is the ubiquitous Hellcat motor. The 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine produces 707 horsepower (717 ps/527 kW) and is good for 645 pound-feet (875 Nm) of torque.

Mind you, numerous tuning companies would gladly take your hard-earned cash in exchange for unleashing more horses from this very potent power unit. As we told you before, it's not uncommon to stumble upon various copies with roughly 1,000 horsepower, and this was the reported output of the black Grand Cherokee Trackhawk depicted on video below at a drag racing event on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Having that much grunt available via the fun pedal allows the super SUV to take on some truly fast cars. In fact, it is so potent that it can even take a swing at the exotic establishment, which is what it did by going neck and neck in a straight-line battle with a Lamborghini Huracan. The Italian machine was apparently in the Evo configuration, meaning that its 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 is good for 631 hp (640 ps/470 kW) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque.

Lamborghini's Huracan Evo takes 2.9 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 kph) from naught and it can hit over 202 mph (325 kph) where the road and legislation allow it. Thus, it was the Jeep that was clearly the underdog in this drag race due to it being significantly bigger and heavier. Nevertheless, the 1,000 horsepower unleashed by its supercharged V8 should be enough to help it give the Lambo a run for its money.

So, which one crossed the finish line first? That's for you to find out by watching the video embedded after this paragraph. At over five minutes long, the footage shows the same Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk engaging in other straight-line battles against various other machines, including a Range Rover, a Mercedes-AMG GLE 63, and an Audi RS 6 Avant.
