The ‘Vette is one of those rides that needs no introduction, especially the C8 generation, which is getting ready to blow two candles off its birthday cake next month.
So far, in the two years since assembly commenced, the Chevrolet Corvette has fallen victim to pretty much countless tuners, and everyone had similar ideas. From swollen-up looks to big wheels, and crazy power boosts, name it, and there is a big chance that you will find it.

In addition to the tuning world, the Corvette C8 was drag-raced numerous times against all sorts of fast vehicles, including full-blown exotics, because, let’s not forget that it now boasts a mid-engine setup for the first time. And with less than 3 seconds required to hit 60 mph (97 kph) from a standstill, courtesy of the 495 hp produced by the 6.2-liter LT2 V8, it did beat some of them.

Speaking of power, that applies to the Stingray, as there is a brand-new Z06 variant out, and it’s that one that you should get, if you desire extra toppings on your modern-day ‘Vette. It uses a flat-plane crank 5.5-liter LT6 V8, with 670 hp. The extra boost over the normal Stingray makes it a 10-second car down the quarter-mile, supposedly, and allows it to go from naught to 60 mph (0-97 kph) in just 2.6 seconds, allegedly.

Now, this story does not involve any actual tuning, nor drag racing, because the yellow example came from Vossen, and you know what this means, don’t you? That’s right, those black alloys, with the wheelmaker’s center caps, came from the said company, making this ‘Vette look classier.

Dubbed the M-X3 (3-piece), they are available from 18 to 24 inches in diameter, save for 23, in one of 48 finishes, and are the proud and joy of other rides, Vossen’s website reveals, such as the BMW 4 Series, 7 Series, Audi R8, Dodge Charger, and one sick Acura TLX. Speaking of ‘sick’, this yellow Corvette has a custom license plate too, and you can see what it reads in our image gallery.
