Bill Goldberg may be famous for his wrestling career, but he's also a muscle car enthusiast. He's also a big Mopar guy, owning both modern and classic rigs. And as of Mach 2024, Bill enjoys the fastest and most powerful muscle car on the planet, the 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon 170.
Bill took delivery of the 1,025-horsepower monster in late March while taking his 2018 Challenger Demon to the dealership for service. He's now the proud owner of one of only 3,300 units built (3,000 sold in the US), but his Demon 170 is actually unique.

What makes it special? Well, it's the Green Machine color, an optional hue given to only 20 to 30 VIP customers. And according to Mr. Goldberg, he's the only buyer who went with the dark metallic green finish. And not only does it look stunning, but it also (almost) matches the color of his 2018 Challenger Demon.

As you'd expect from a muscle car enthusiast, Bill pulled a burnout right in front of the dealership. But not before he took a five-gallon jug of E85 from the trunk of his old Demon to make sure the new Mopar didn't run out of gas.

Bill is obviously ecstatic. He called it "a dream come true" and asked the dealer not to clean the car before delivery. He wanted to enjoy washing it himself after driving it home. It's safe to say Bill was joking when he said he would sleep in it, but he's not kidding about taking it to the drag strip.

He's planning on racing it like there's no tomorrow, and that's something every Demon 170 owner should do. Despite its limited-edition status, this rig was built to roar angrily and burn rubber down the quarter-mile. Bill also admits he bought it because it's the ultimate V8-powered muscle car.

Unleashed in 2023, the Challenger Demon 170 set quite a few records. For starters, it's the world's first (and still only) factory muscle car rated at more than 1,000 horsepower. Powered by a beefed-up 6.2-liter V8 with a supercharger on top, the Mopar hits the ground with 1,025 horsepower and 945 pound-feet (1,281 Nm) of torque when gulping E85 ethanol.

It's also the quickest production car from 0 to 60 mph, covering the distance in a mind-numbing 1.66 seconds. Blink, and you missed it! The quarter-mile ET is just as impressive at 8.91 clicks and 151.17 mph (243.28 kph). And needless to say, it's significantly quicker than the Tesla Model S Plaid.

It's a muscle car for the history books and a future classic. And it should look right at home next to Goldberg's 1969 Dodge HEMI Charger R/T and 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 "Lawman." Check it out in the video below.
