If you're a speed addict who wants to purchase an extreme, high-performance motorcycle in 2024, these are some of the most exciting models that money can buy.
On New Year's Eve, people all around the globe are making plans for 2024.

For motorcycle enthusiasts, 2024 will be far more exciting than its predecessor since many new models are set to hit the streets.

When it comes to the most extreme production superbikes, 2024 will be a year of evolution rather than evolution.

Nevertheless, if a new superbike tops your New Year's wishlist, these are the wildest models on the market.

Since its introduction, the hyper-naked Brutale 1000 RR has been one of the most gorgeous high-performance bikes in the world.

But apart from its looks, the model always lived up to its name, delivering brutal performance.

For 2024, the Brutale 1000 RR is more or less a carryover of the 2023 model, but there is something new: the limited-edition Assen.

Conceived to celebrate the Italian manufacturer's 35 wins at the legendary Dutch track nicknamed The Cathedral of Speed and named after it, the limited-edition distinguishes itself from the stock Brutale 1000 RR thanks to a special paint scheme and a host of carbon fiber components.

The hand-built beast will also be available with the track-oriented Special Parts kit that adds a bunch of awesome goodies, including a titanium Arrow muffler, CNC-machined brake and clutch levers, a carbon fiber passenger seat cover, and a high-performance ECU that helps the 998cc inline-four make a brutal 212 hp.

The Assen will be produced in a limited run of just 300 units. So far, the official price hasn't been revealed, but it's safe to assume that it will exceed the $40,000 mark.

Upgraded constantly since 2004, the seventh generation of the legendary CBR series has been one of the most iconic superbikes of the last two decades.

For the 2024 model year, the range will get its first major revamp since 2020, which means that the street-legal, track-oriented CBR1000RR-R will be more spectacular than ever.

The extensive list of upgrades includes aerodynamic enhancements, a revised frame, improved suspension components, Brembo's Stylema R brake calipers, and last but certainly not least, a thoroughly reworked version of the 1,000cc inline-four.

The engine - which was already extremely potent - is improved with many new components, including a new cylinder head that helps boost compression, more aggressive cams, and lighter connecting rods.

According to Honda, all that hardware won't amount to a performance gain on paper since the engine will continue to be rated at 214 hp. However, the real difference will be noticeable on both the street and (especially) the track.

Like the previous model, the 2024 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is expected to cost close to $30,000, and US buyers will have to make do with the choked, 186-hp version of the engine.

When it comes to sports bikes, Ducati has been one of the industry leaders for decades, and one of its most celebrated models is the 916.

In 2024, the legendary model designed by Massimo Tammburini celebrates its 30th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, the Italian manufacturer will introduce a special edition of the V4 called SP2 30th Anniversario 916.

The superbike's most stunning feature is a unique livery inspired by Carl Fogerty's 1999 Superbike World Championship-winning 916, and that's not all.

Hardware-wise, the special edition gets a carbon fiber mudguard and wings, a front brake air duct, a unique exhaust heat shield, and a billet aluminum fuel cap.

Moreover, it sits on lightweight five-spoke carbon fiber wheels, standard Brembo Stylema R calipers, and an STM EVO-SBK dry clutch.

At the heart of the anniversary edition is the same liquid-cooled 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 of the standard Panigale V4 SP2, which is good for 210 hp.

The Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversario 916 will be produced in a limited run of 500 units and hit the streets (and tracks) in March with a starting price of $45,995.

The next entry on our list is Team Green's most lethal superbike: the one and only Ninja H2R.

Marketed as the fastest, most powerful production motorcycle on the planet, the H2R doesn't get any revisions for 2024, but it's hard to demand more from what's already an insane machine.

Powered by a supercharged 998cc inline-four capable of no less than 310 hp, the H2R is the closest thing you can get to a race-spec superbike.

It features advanced aerodynamics, a state-of-the-art suspension system, Brembo Stylema brakes, and even comes with launch control.

With a top speed of 249 mph (400 kph), this monster is not for the fainthearted.

The 2024 Ninja H2R is already available with an MSRP of $58,100.

MTT 420-RR

If the previous four superbikes aren't extreme enough for you, your only option is the MTT 420-RR.

Yes, I'm talking about the latest version of the jet-powered bike that was made famous by Jay Leno more than two decades ago.

What can only be described as insanity on two wheels, the MTT 420-RR is still in production today.

Though that's an exorbitant amount, you'll ride the only production bike powered by a helicopter engine.

More specifically, the unit adapted for this wild bike is a Rolls-Royce 250-C20B turboshaft engine rated at 420 hp that can run on diesel, Kerosene, or Jet A fuel.

Combined with a 68-inch (1,700 mm) wheelbase, the MTT 420-RR is far from your average superbike, so expect to flirt with danger at every corner.

Available in either fully faired or naked versions, this epic bike can be had via special order for the equivalent of five Ninja H2Rs.
