One of the most popular minivans on the American market, for both individuals and car-sharing companies, is the Chrysler Pacifica. Constantly selling over 100,000 units per year, the model is most popular in the S Appearance guise.
Building on this trend, the American carmaker announced it plans on taking this version even further, by offering a Red S Edition that takes “custom” looks one step further for the car.
Based on the S model, the Red is all about bright colors and extra features for both the gasoline and hybrid-powered vans. And most of these changes are visible at the interior.
There, the carmaker fitted special seats with the S logo on the seatbacks, wrapped in Rodèo Red Nappa leather with Light Diesel Grey stitching. The instrument panel and the door trim come in Silver Metal Brush.
But the package is not all about looks. Compared to the standard Pacifica, the Red S adds the Advanced SafetyTec package, Harman Kardon 20-speaker audio system, and KeySense.
On the outside, the most visible addition are the Black Noise 20-inch wheels, and the Red S badge on the liftgate. These elements can be combined with six color schemes.
“One out of every three Pacifica models sold features the blacked-out S Appearance,” said in a statement Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars for FCA North America.
“The Pacifica’s new Red S Edition takes that factory customization even further, giving families a chance to really make a statement in the school drop off line.”
The Red S package is available for order as of now, and it will set each buyer back an extra $3,995, on top of the price for whatever Pacifica model they choose.
