Honda today announced that it plans to cut production capacity at six of its US and Canadian facilities by about half from November 2nd to the 10th. The move comes as a result of Flooding in Thailand that has resulted in parts suppliers for the automaker having problems.
Honda is the second carmaker to be affected by the natural disasters in Thailand, and they were both struck hard by the Japanese earthquake earlier this year. In their statement, Honda said that the December sales date for the new 2012 CR-V may be delayed by “several weeks”

“Subsequent adjustments will be announced as they are determined based on the parts supply situation," Honda said.
