While the Japanese market 2010 Honda CR-V facelift will be unveiled on September 17, the European spec model has already been disclosed in some official photos. The new facelifted Honda CR-V will commence sales in January 2010. On the outside, the European-spec CR-V, built in the UK, will boast a subtle facelift with color coded bumper on higher grade models, slightly restyled front and rear bumpers and a fresh front grille without the chrome bars. The 2010 model will also benefit from new styled 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. While there haven't been revealed any interior pictures, the car maker claims it has upgraded the fabrics and plastics used inside the cabin and prepared a new audio console design. Engineers have also dealt with bettering the sound proofing on the popular compact SUV. Under the hood, the 2010 CR-V gets a retuned 2.2-liter diesel engine that develops 150 hp and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), meaning a 10 hp and 10 Nm gain over the previous model. Another new feature for the Japanese car manufacturer is a new 5-speed automatic transmission developed in-house. Honda is expected to reveal the rest of the specifications at the 2009 International Auto Show in Frankfurt next week or during their Japanese market release on September 17. autoevolution will be attending the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of these vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions
