It goes vroom vroom, plucking out the grass from the muddy soil in the process. It drifts, digging ditches of mud. And it makes noise to wake up an entire neighborhood. It is the world's first Ford Bronco 6x6.
The Ford Bronco 6x6 resides in Miami, Florida, and is the creation of Apocalypse Trucks, a company that turns cars into six-wheelers, getting the attention of a few celebrities along the way. And yes, it does look ready for the apocalypse.

The former 4x4 was powered by the 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6, which generated 330 horsepower (335 metric horsepower) and 415 pound-feet (563 Newton meters) when it rolled off the production line of the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne. But that was light years away.

The current 6x6 is a 400-horsepower super truck, and it is called the Dark Horse
. If that sounds familiar, you'll have to know that it has no connection whatsoever with the Mustang Dark Horse. Furthermore, back in 2021, when the Bronco was converted into a six-wheeler, Ford had not even revived the iconic Mustang nameplate.

The vehicle is painted in an anti-rust, anti-rock, anti-everything-out-there black bedliner rugged paint, contrasting with gold details. A big steel bumper integrates the towing hitches and additional lights.

It rides on 20-inch Fuel SFJ bronze wheels with 37-inch Patagonia tires. And all these tires transfer power to the ground, the third axle is not there just to scare off crossovers and compact cars in the street.

The truck sits 5 inches (127 millimeters) higher than it did when driving through the factory gate. And it isn't rocket science to notice that it grew in every direction. The Bronco started out in life as an 189-inch (4,800-millimeter) long SUV.

The new pickup truck, measured from bumper to bumper, is 225 inches (5,715 millimeters) long. A 4-foot bed (101.6 millimeters) showed up at the rear. The Apocalypse logo shows up underneath the handle of the tailgate. And guess what! A roll cage grew on this Bronco pickup truck.

As for the cabin, you can't expect that to remain untouched. Apocalypse Trucks covered the seats, dashboard, and door panels in what they call "Cowboy Saddle" leather in brown, which is rainproof.

When new, the four-wheel Bronco powered by the V6 engine started at a little over $39,000. Those figures are so long gone: here is the quarter of a million dollars six-wheeler. It will cost you $250,000 to drive this baby home. Joe Ghattas, the owner of the conversion company, is the one who comes up with these brilliant idea of building absurd trucks that look as if they're here to survive the apocalypse.

Monsters like the Warlord, Hellfire, and Sinister 6 are some of the firm's creations, all sporting names that show that they mean business. He's converted Jeeps, Mercedes G-Classes, Rams, and the list goes on. Celebrities such as basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, rapper Nardo Wick, and comedian Katt Williams also brought trucks from Apocalypse.
