When it comes to VIPs, it is usually best if you do not mess around with their stuff – including the automotive variety. But what if the aftermarket outlet that achieved the custom look itself proposes an alternative?
25-year-old Shaivonte Aician Gilgeous-Alexander, also known as SGA or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, is an essential member of the Oklahoma City Thunder team of the National Basketball Association (NBA), as this year he was named to his first NBA All-Star Game also voted to the All-NBA First Team. Naturally, he can indulge in delicious wishful thinking – even if he has already done it before.

We are talking about his automotive indiscretions, nothing else, of course – as the last time we saw the Thunder star, he was still dwelling around his stunning Matte Brown Mercedes-AMG G 63 off-road SUV. Well, as it turns out, now he got tired of it – or at least the color if not the make and model. This is because the custom-forged wheel experts over at Santa Fe Springs, California-based AG Luxury have uncovered a match made in silver heaven by The View Luxury and Performance outlet from Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada.

The Canadian-born NBA star has apparently asked them for a fresh look on a second Mercedes-AMG G 63, and, of course, they obliged with a "one-of-one, a fusion of artistic vision and automotive excellence, (as) this unique masterpiece sets new standards in luxury and performance." Effectively, what we are dealing here with is a wrapped Satin Silver G 63 that had "every trim, handle, grille, bulbar, and badge painted in color-matched Satin Silver."

Plus, the off-road beast that's now predominantly a fashionable luxury item also asserts its commanding presence on a set of 24-inch AG Luxury AGL78 'steelies' to add a "touch of audacious flair" from every angle. Unfortunately, there are no interior shots, so we have to settle with the exterior video presentation featured below. Or, in turn, we could gauge the audience's interest in an unlikely competitor – the latest Range Rover decked in a "bold" Chalk Gray wrap and with all design elements painted to match. This, too, rides majestic but also slightly lowered on a set of matching 24-inch AG Luxury AGL78s, probably just to make our choice a bit more difficult.

So, just in case you weren't into monotone SUVs until now, here are a couple of models that have legendary nameplates and look like they are about to appear from a palace or an emperor's residence – if those were still a thing today. Sure, maybe not everyone favors light over darkness, which is why we also have a menacingly alluring all-black alternative from AL13 Wheels – a beefed-up Ford Ranger Raptor mounted on 22-inch three-piece R90-R aftermarket wheels dressed in full gloss black and shod in Grappler tires. Thus, what is your favorite?
