Vorsteiner is an aftermarket company that provides high-quality wheels, plus carbon fiber and aerodynamic parts for many luxury brands - McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Corvette, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, etc. How about Tesla?
As it turns out, yes. They just launched – to coincide with their apparition at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada – their Tesla Model S Plaid Aero Program. It's not just for any Tesla, of course – as the 2017 to 2023 Tesla Model 3 and 2019-2023 Tesla Model Y have their separate goodies. This new addition to the venue is for the 1,020 Plaid model.

And, of course, like any self-respecting aftermarket outlet, they also have a vehicle demonstrator – irrespective of the fact that a Plaid, even after the massive price cuts operated by Tesla lately, costs over $86k. However, this Model S is far from stock, even if we don't factor the new Vorsteiner Aero Program into the equation. First and foremost, Tesla doesn't have this stunning purple hue on its configurator – only Pearl White Multi-Coat, Solid Black, Deep Blue Metallic, Stealth Grey, or Ultra Red.

Secondly, the three-piece forged VC-322 wheels from the 'Contemporary' series are something to behold – and can be had from $12,980 per set. No worries, if you don't like them – although they provide a magnificent contrast against the purple and carbon fiber when dressed in white and with a black center cap, there are many more options for the Tesla Model S Plaid.

Now, let us focus on the actual Aero Program. To make the Model S Plaid truly "sleek, stylish, sustainable" according to Vorsteiner's vision, you will need to shell out $4,695 for the VRS carbon fiber aero hood, $1,295 for the VRS decklid carbon fiber spoiler, $3,695 for the VRS carbon fiber rear diffuser, $2,695 for the side skirts, $1,695 for the add-on aero fenders, $995 for the add-on bumper flares, and another $2,295 for the front carbon fiber spoiler.

The grand total is nothing to sneeze at - $17,365 – and factoring in the aftermarket wheels, it's $30,345 burning a hole through your pocket. But I am pretty sure that anyone seeing this purple and carbon fiber Tesla Model S Plaid might become an instant convert to the EV lifestyle, even if they were ardent ICE power supporters before.

Now, hopefully, someone will dare to equip the Tesla Model S Plaid with all of Vorsteiner's upgrades, somehow also gain access to the body color, and when all the tuning is said and done, they will also bring the EV to the local quarter-mile dragstrip. Frankly, it would be pretty astonishing to see it duke it out with a fancy-schmancy ICE-powered supercar or maybe even with the newly-on-sale $249k Lucid Air Sapphire.
