Although at the end of last year, things couldn't look rosier for Tesla – with the Model Y breaking sales records all over the world and the Cybertruck finally launched on the market – now it's suddenly in a world of hurt. No, it's not just the perceived EV slowdown hurting the business, things might be running way deeper and maybe we're just scratching the surface.
After the first quarter sales tally, the American automaker and new energy company announced its first negative performance in terms of deliveries and production since 2021. Things then spiraled downward quickly – the promised updated Tesla Model 3 Performance is still nowhere to be found, the fans don't like Elon Musk's call for a Robotaxi world, Cybertruck sales have been halted to fix an accelerator problem, and now any new order shows a 2025 delivery timeline, and on top of that the company also announced a massive round of layoffs.

According to the rumor mill, the move affects 10% of the global workforce, and the company is losing top brass to it. That can't be good in the long run, for sure. Also, things are again heating up in the full-size EV pickup truck class, with Chevrolet and GMC announcing the updated specifications and pricing of the Silverado EV RST First Edition and Sierra EV Denali Edition 1. At the same time, Ford slashed prices of the F-150 Lightning – now starting from $63k.

Anyway, perhaps it's time for a marketing stunt of some sort – like the ones they pulled during the Cybertruck introduction, only better. If they lack ideas, no worries; the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is always keen to help. More precisely, if they want something to do with the otherworldly Cybertruck, it's possible that London, UK-based virtual artist Al Yasid, better known as al.yasid on social media, has them covered – while also making purists run amok crying their Cyberbeast(ly) outrage at the same time.

For some time, he's been toying with AI software and even set up an alternate account dubbed 'ai.yasid' where it's pretty clear that he's into dark stuff like cyberpunk-style Joker-Batman ideas. Most recently, he brainstormed a Tesla Cybertruck that could serve as the Dark Knight's next Batmobile if he decided to get in line with all the celebrities that pose next to a Cyberbeast. However, that wasn't enough for him.

So, he returned to his human-centric design panel with the "cyber bat truck" idea and ensured no trace of AI was left in it. Also, there's little Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast DNA left, too. But maybe that's for the best – now it looks like an off-road supercar if Christopher Nolan or Matt Reeves decided to use it as a prop for their next Batman incarnation.

Of course, Tesla Cybertruck enthusiasts might not be so happy with it – this is now a big two-door 'spaceship' off-roader with lots of aerodynamic quirks and massive all-terrain wheels, dually ones at the rear, as far as we can tell! For sure, though, if real, this could eat Porsche 911 Dakar and Lambo Huracan Sterrato cross-sports cars for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day long.
