The new BMW M2 Coupe still shocks us every time we look at it because it's uglier than its predecessor. Hopefully, the design will grow on us, but it is what it is for now. Fortunately, it remains a corner-devouring beast and a good daily despite its premium subcompact proportions and two-door design.
But this story isn't dedicated to the performance of the car that sits in a league of its own, gunning for the likes of the Audi RS 3 Sedan and Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, both of which have two more doors. Instead, we'll focus on the styling, which Vorsteiner just elevated. The American tuner with a very German name has helped the new BMW M2 further embrace its edgy design with add-ons of exaggerated proportions all around.

Together with the new alloys and the body kit, described as an aerodynamic package, the bundle is part of Vorsteiner’s upcoming 20th-anniversary celebrations. And you certainly won't need a magnifier to tell what's new because the aftermarket bits are in your face. The parts around the side vents in the front bumper were swollen, and it features a chin spoiler further down and a tweaked kidney grille that wasn't oversized. The vented hood is on the OTT side, and the car sports wider fenders at the front and rear.

The side skirt add-ons, new diffuser, and incorporated ducktail spoiler are also part of the body kit, and Vorsteiner's logo has replaced the BMW roundels on the nose and trunk lid. It's also visible on the wheels that have wide lips and a multi-spoke pattern in the form of the center caps. The car is presented in two exterior colors, blue and lime green, with a black roof, and from what we can tell, these are probably renderings, albeit official ones, as the actual tuned M2 should look identical once it officially premieres, probably in the next few weeks or months.

Vorsteiner hasn't mentioned the oily bits at all, so it probably retains the stock firepower. This means 454 horsepower (460 ps/338 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque produced by the turbocharged straight-six 3.0-liter engine. It takes only 4.1 seconds to hit 60 mph (97 kph) from a standstill, identical to the larger M3 Sedan when fitted with the manual gearbox, and it can do 155 mph (250 kph) flat-out. The top speed increases to 177 mph (285 kph) when ordering the optional M Driver's Package.

If a more track-focused version and extra oomph are what you're interested in, you should wait for the M2 CS to debut. It might be due sometime next year, supposedly with a little over 500 horsepower on tap and a few other enhancements that will further set it apart from the normal M2.
