If you’ve got roughly $200,000 laying around and you’d like to purchase a custom Japanese supercar of the relatively modern variety, this Nissan GT-R R35 might be the way to go. It’s got one of the sickest specs we’ve ever seen on an R35, and it’s been very carefully calibrated so as to actually improve on what you got with the stock product.
I still remember having to cover the Nissan GT-R R35 back when it first came out. It was one of the most exciting debuts I’ve ever witnessed within this industry, and despite social media not being that big of a thing back then in 2007, the R35 still broke the Internet. Everybody was talking about it while being in complete awe of its specifications and price tag.

Many of us didn’t even know how long this car had been in development. Yet for seven years Nissan slaved away to make sure they unleashed as perfect a product as possible, and that they did. The R35 GT-R didn’t feel rushed or unfinished in any way. They set out to create a modern-day icon and they accomplished their goal.

These cars got even better after the 2011 model year upgrade, which brought with it updated engine mapping, a modified exhaust, slightly more power, a stiffer chassis, better brakes, better cooling, enhanced connectivity and more. Further upgrades would continue, and even by 2024 standards, the GT–R is as competitive as ever within its sub–segment – albeit down on power compared to most flagship–spec exotics.

Well, if it’s power you crave, then we’ve got something truly special to show you in the shape of this carbon fiber-infused 2014 GT-R. The vehicle is for sale and the asking price is $197,500.

You probably think that’s too much for a 10-year-old GT-R but wait until you see what they did to it. They removed all body panels to replace them with carbon fiber iterations. They specifically didn’t want to make the car less drivable, which meant it had to be relatively quiet, idle smoothly and shift smoothly – be the perfect daily driver around town.

Visually, aside from the carbon fiber everything (panels, emblems, mirrors, pillars, trunk, wing, bumpers, skirts, roof, doors, hood), you also get a Jet Black interior with a DCTMS matte carbon steering wheel and shift knob, among so many other things. Meanwhile, mechanical highlights include the AK Racing tubular subframe, custom exhaust system, forged aluminum calipers with carbon ceramic rotors, and the AdvanGT 20” wheels.

As for what’s going on in terms of performance, the tuned 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine is now said to put down between 900 and 1,000 whp (that’s wheel horsepower), with the occasional 1,100+ whp also on-tap. How much is that crank-wise? About 1,350 horsepower, give or take. This is a serious piece of kit.
