Both Toyota and Lexus are busy with their upcoming presentations at the inaugural 2023 Japan Mobility Show (formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show). Still, their fans in America only have eyes for different stuff.
Toyota and Lexus have significant introductions in store for JMS 2023 – including full EV lineups in concept car form and potentially a smaller Land Cruiser compact SUV called 'Land Hopper.' However, no one should neglect the company's focus on North America, where Toyota has already started the teaser preparations for the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show with a mysterious photo showcasing a new passenger car.

All eyes are on the XV80 ninth-generation Toyota Camry, of course. As for Lexus, the luxury division recently set up a get-together event around Moab, Utah, where it showcased the on- and off-road skills and capabilities of the all-new J250-based Lexus GX 550. Interestingly, members of the LXSTND community were also there, and maybe that's what inspired them to work again with their long-time partner, Jon Sibal.

Curiously, the virtual artist better known as jonsibal didn't imagine something based on the GX 550 and instead turned his attention to its more significant TNGA-F-based J310 Lexus LX 600 instead. The hulking full-size off-road luxury SUV belongs at the top of the Lexus roster alongside the LS limousine, of course, with pricing kicking off at almost $93k.

However, as the community members and Jon Sibal pondered their participation at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, they decided to do something wacky with the Lexus LX 600. As such, somewhat uncharacteristically for this pixel master who is much more accustomed to motorsport and JDM-tuned creations, he transformed the ritzy LX 600 into something that would look good in any Mad Max or zombie-style apocalypse movie from Hollywood.

In the end, unfortunately, they decided against building anything for this year's edition of the SEMA Show – so this SEMA-dedicated concept only lives across the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. Too bad, since it would have represented a major point of attraction for fans of extreme builds thanks to the lifted suspension setup, the meaty all-terrain tires fitted to beadlock-capable wheels, the exterior roll-over protection bars, or the weathered look of the paintjob.

Oh, and not to mention all the spikes and other dangerous stuff, of course! Anyway, if you want something 'calmer' from this renowned author, look no further than his attempt at making 'green great again' with help from a Dark Army Green Toyota GR86 build that's slammed and widebody beyond belief. The aero work is also outstanding, and the classic white alloy wheels bring a nice touch of nostalgia, making this a compelling case for something that could be built in the real world, too. So, which is your favorite, and why?
