Just in case you were living under a Lunar or Mars rock for the past few months, the American automotive industry has been in turmoil for many things - including the sad departure of two (or three) of the most beloved pony/muscle car nameplates.
Stellantis was the first to announce that it has ordained for Dodge to switch its attention to a novel EV lifestyle as far as the Charger and Challenger models are concerned - and it swiftly announced the 2023 model year to be the final one for the V8-powered Hemi hoots. As we advance, the rumor mill believes they will adopt an inline-six Hurricane ethos and also the nine levels of banshee EV prowess promised by the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept.

General Motors soon followed suit and one-upped their lifetime rivals with the announcement that Chevrolet's sixth-gen Camaro will end production in January 2024 (now the rumor mill says Convertibles will stop manufacturing in November and Coupes in December) with no successor in sight. To add insult to injury, they only revealed the 2024 Collector's Edition and the Garage 56 ZL1 special series as opposed to Dodge's seven 'Last Call' models, which include the 1,025-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170!

So, it's safe to say that people are pretty upset about how things are going in the pony and muscle car realm. No worries, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is always willing and ready to act as a conciliatory venue. As such, here's a hypothetical take on the endless possibilities arising from GM's promise that Camaro's journey is not over. TheAutoReport channel on YouTube is self-described as a "one-stop destination for the latest updates and insights into the dynamic world of (CGI) cars!" And they sure have some pretty exciting ideas about how the seventh-generation Camaro should look – all transposed into a series of creative design projects with some help from the latest AI design software tools.

As such, the channel's host optimistically believes that Chevrolet might surprise everyone sometime later this year or in 2024 with a confirmation of all the reports about the next-gen Camaro, which is supposed to morph into a sub-brand with a convertible sports car, a muscly crossover SUV, and an elegant four-door sedan. The resident pixel master also has visions about this new Camaro family, and some of them might be unrefined, but they're still pretty enticing.

Of course, everything is supposedly based on the BEV 3 and Ultium technology, so the next Camaro is also unofficially transformed into an EV. So, what do you think – will Chevy have another go at making the Camaro great again, or are these renderings and the accompanying rumors just wishful thinking, and the nameplate is permanently going into retirement?
