America's favorite pickup sweetheart, the Ford F-150, has proved its mettle countless times over the decades, hence why it is still a top seller. But not everyone can afford a brand-new one, and a select few couldn't give a flying hoot about it, as they still think the older iterations boast superior build quality.
In that case, the used car market is where they should look for their upcoming Ford F-150. To say that the offering is vast would be an understatement, as countless examples search for new homes at any given time.

Depending on their overall condition, whether they've been restored or not, how good they look, how many miles they have under their belts, what engine powers them, what the equipment list features, and so on, this model could end up going for pennies on the dollar or setting its future owner back a small fortune.

So, where does this muscular-looking 1980 Ford F-150 sit? Somewhere in the middle, as it doesn't break the bank, but it's not a bargain either. More on the pricing in a few moments, as before that, we have to highlight the obvious: it looks ready for a long drive into the unknown.

This classic workhorse has generous ground clearance, rides on chunky tires wrapped around the new wheels, and features a gold exterior. The stainless brake lines, rotors, Fox shocks, and a few other things are new. It has a tan interior with a bench that has withstood the test of time, just like the dashboard, steering wheel, buttons, knobs, air vents, and so on.

If you plan to buy this 1980 Ford F-150, you’ll need to know how to drive a stick. It features a four-speed manual transmission, which is hooked up to a 351 ci V8, and the mandatory four-wheel-drive system. This 5.8-liter motor was offered with different outputs over the years, making between 136 and 217 horsepower.

Garage Kept Motors advertises this rugged yet stylish old single-cab pickup truck. The listing reveals that it had 106,580 miles (171,524 km) on the odometer at the time of cataloging, which is certainly not bad at all, especially for what is a workhorse. As for the asking price, well, you will have to cough out $18,900 for it. You'll also have to mend some things, as it needs some TLC.

You can access the ad here. Before you do that, we will also remind you that a brand-new Ford Maverick, which is identical to the Bronco Sport, Escape, Focus, and other models beneath the skin, will set you back north of $23,815. So, if you had a similar budget and needed a pickup, would this old F-150 cut it, or would you get something else instead?
